Measurements

Sunday, April 05, 2009

I don't have time for a long blog, I'm on my way to bed to get my beauty sleep!

But since I have started my new strength program yesterday, I want to post my strategic measurements as of now.
Have I told you how SORE I am, by the way? Aiaiaiai!

And woohoo! As of weigh in today I'm half way to my final goal and have lost 32 kg. I have another 32 kg or so to lose.

I expect it to take time, but meanwhile I enjoy the journey and relish in all the things I can DO that I didn't have the stamina for before I started training.

Here are the measurements - showing centimeters lost since I started eleven months ago:

Neck - 6 cm
Waist - 20 cm
Chest -12 cm
Hip -15 cm
Tummy - 17 cm
Rear - 12 cm
upper arm - 10 cm
Wrist - 3 cm
Mid thigh - 26 cm
Calf - 3 cm

It's difficult for me to really believe these numbers, but when I look at the clothes in my wardrobe I have to!! Guess I'll do some spring cleaning this Easter and get rid of a whole lot of summery clothes that I can't use anymore.

I'll have to see if some can be re-fit and others will have to go to a friend. Guess I'll buy something cheap for this summer season, as I don't plan to stay at this weight for long, I'm on my way further down the scales.

YAY!! Sound like you and I are in a similar boat... I did my measurements and it explained why the smaller sizes fit, but it's so hard to justify buying new clothes when I'm planning on flying through to the next smaller size!

    Great job!!!

CONGRATS on being halfway and on your loss in cm so far!!! :D It's hard for me to visualize, being on inches and all myself, but still -- those numbers are DOWN!!!! ;)

I'm like you -- my closets are slowly emptying -- and the goodwill pile is threatening to topple over. Last summer's clothes are mostly too big. Weight loss is expensive! But so worth it!

Isn't it great to know that you're just on a way station?

My husband and I went shopping yesterday as the baseball season is starting and my only Red Sox jersey is a 3x. We bought me a Large and I said not to spend too much $$ on it as I won't be in it for very long. ;)

And congratulations on being halfway there! Isn't that a fab feeling?!
