I had planned on allowing myself one piece of really good cake for my birthday last month. No problem. But then there was the brunch buffet with champagne. Again, that was a minor deviation. Then there was the low salt low fat potato chips that DH got for mother (who only ever has three bites of anything so I finished the bag) Then mother bought a huge bag of dark M&M's, but accidentally got the peanut kind... so I got her some of the non-peanut (she has false teeth) and proceeded to nibble my way through the offending candy...
Two things learned, when eating all the "bad" stuff, you are not leaving room for "good" stuff. And all that wonderful energy I was enjoying was partially a by product of healthy eating.
So April 1 is the beginning of a new month. I have 30 days to meet my "pound for pound" challenge. And no more birthdays to celebrate until May. Fortunately not my own so not as much temptation.
