Well here I am 1/2 a year into my new lifestyle. I purposely say that because it's not a diet anymore...not a 'goal' I'm reaching for and then its over. This is permanent...a new life.
I set goal weights for myself each month and this is the first month I didn't reach it...I'm a few pounds off...but instead of getting upset with myself over that I decided to look at the bigger picture. In 6 months I've gone from 315 lbs to 234.6 lbs. That's 78.4 lbs! I was buying a stretchy 4X (26/28) at my biggest and now I'm in a 2X (20)and can buy 'regular clothes without elastic or sweats. That's smaller than I've been in over 15 years! My measurements are drastically different:
Chest: = 7" lost
Waist: = 8" lost
Hips: = 11" lost
I'm still logging my food everyday. I exercise 5 days a week and have so much more stamina than I did 6 months ago. I can play on the floor with my toddler and move around! That in itself is worth all the effort I've put in.
