Things have been going great until recently progress has slowed down so this week I decided to put forth more effort. I exercised harder than I have for a while and I stuck to my healthy eating plan even when faced with temptation. I really wanted to do some late night munching but I overcame temptation. So I was expecting to at least see some weight loss when I weighed in this morning and even sort of expected it to be good. So imagine my surprise and frustration when I gained 1 lb the only other time I gained since I have been trying to loose weight is the day after new years and I really did not do that well. So then I sort of expected it, but this time I was totally thrown off. I am still happy with what I have accomplished so far, but I am not really sure what I could have done differently this week. I guess the best I can do is hope that if I keep with it next eek I will loose that 1 lb and then some.

    It's easy for me to give advice!! I just don't take it so well... Don't beat yourself up. You have accomplished a tremendous amount in a very short time! Very possibly it could have been water retention, PMS, etc. Just don't give up.

    Yes, I have had those unfortunate surprises! I have discovered that weight loss and weight maintenance is not a simple calories in and calories out!!! Sometimes you just have to hang in there, practicing those good health habits!!!
