Still on track!

Sunday, February 01, 2009

This year is flying by, can't believe its already February.
I'm in Kentucky and our whole state was hit with a winter storm.
We had the largest record of power outage in history, over 600,000
homes and business without power.
We had ice on everything and hit all our transformers.
Our electricity was out for five days and we had no heat.
I don't ever want to be that cold again.
I took a couple of pictures...

OMG your bs is fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I noticed since I started really eating properly (writing everything down) My sugars are starting to come down. They were averaging about 350. Now they are under 250 and hopefully still going down.

I sure hope that the storm has passed. Thinking about being without heat makes me shiver uncontrollable.

Hi Theresa, Im glad you made it through your storm . I live in Arkansas and we had it here also. I was lucky and only without power for 2 nights and 1 day, but there are still alot of people here in Ar. without power. Seems like every Jan. we get some ice. This year was bad.
Hey I want to congratulate you on your weight loss and on your blood sugars.
I am also a diabetic and trying to control mine. I always thought it was about sugar but just about 6 months ago learned it was about carbs. I went to see a nutrionist and she helped me understand better than my doctor. Anyways, keep up the good work!!

    Hi Theresa
Your readings are getting better and better- emoticon .
Can't believe it snowed yesterday...apparently it's come over from Russia.
The weather men say it's the heaviest for 18 years and that London is deserted.
Kids are making snowmen and once we've had breakfast this 51 year old is gonna do likewise- I haven't done that since I was a kid, there's no point venturing out so I might as well enjoy it!
Fortunately the heating etc haven't been affected over here as they had with you and I hope you don't get a repeat of the expected storm today (Monday).
Thanks for adding me as a friend emoticon emoticon

Wow!!! That looks bad! I've been to the snow in Utah and to our mountains here in CA but I've never been in anything like that. I'm glad you survived!! Glad you're still doing your program. You may have been cold on the outside but very warm on the inside!

    Much love
