My walk across America.

Thursday, January 29, 2009

There are several sites out there that will help you make a virtual walking plan from coast to coast. I am going to use the one from about.com
since it already has the mileage and links set up and makes it easy to just jump right in on my trip.

As I progress along the virtual trail, I will try to keep my walking chart up to date and post some photos of my trip, mostly to encourage myself to continue LOL.

The ticker trackers are from The Ticker Factory where you can find tickers for just about anything you want to track. If you put more than one on a webpage, you need to use a different unit of measurement for each ticker tracker.

Thanks for the comment on my blog. I do love the Wii, especially for c-c-c-old days or in nasty weather. Since I'm from the northeastern part of the US, we do tend to get quite a bit of that stuff in the winter months...unfortunately. So I do my exercising indoors, unless of course, I count my shoveling time as cardio (which i most certainly do!)!

Thanks for posting the links in your blog. Your organization amazes me!! Wish I was more like that...but we each have our gifts & talents. That's what makes the world go 'round! I'm going to have to ck them out sometime soon.

Good luck on your journey!! Enjoy! emoticon

I love this idea! I think I may use it when I start to lose motivation in another few weeks. Enjoy your walk...

I've seen people do the walk across America, but I think this is probably the best example so far. Thanks for the links. I may have to do this for my next personal challenge.

This is amazing!! I might have to search that sometime....I lead a team and I'm thinking about doing a "walk through the holy land" for Lent....knowing that you did this and that there is info on the net to set it up is a little kick to let me know to do it!
So, thanks....good luck on your journey (both your health one and the virtual one, ha-ha) Jennie
