I'm really bad about bloging, if you didn't already notice that it's at least a month between most of my posts :)
Well, I mae it into the class that the hospital gives for GD mommies, it's been two weeks of monitoring (and logging food, now that's familiar). My fasting and after breakfast numbers were consistently high, so I was put on Glyburide. Good news, it doesn't cross the placenta and the only possible side effect for me is low blood sugar.
I've been eating much better than I was earlier in the pregnancy, I kind of fell off the wagon for awhile there, silly morning sickness wanting food at 3am and here and there throughout the day!)
So, I go in to check with my team tomorrow, we'll see what they have to say.
I also get t o i 2x/week for non-stress test fetal monitoring and checking my amniotic fluid levels. All these appointments are wreaking havoc with my work schedule, and yes, I know that when you're pregnant people take that into account and you have to take care of yourself, but I have the added stress of being the only working person in y family, as I'm sending my husband back to school right now, so missed work is missed pay (I'm hourly, paid well hourly, but hourly none the less) I can make up some of the time by working on reports at home, which I need to do right now, but there are only so many things I can do at home and not at work.
Also, eating every 2-3 hours makes for an interesting eating schedule, sometimes I have to eat when I'm working with a group of kids, at least they understand if I say it's for the baby, but still . . .)
Anyway, that's me for now.
