How timely!
By total coincidence, I am currently reading a book called "Blink" by Malcolm Gladwell.
It talks about how we "think" without thinking. Therefore a lot of our decisions are made subconsciously.
One of his observations is that tall people win. (And that is after correcting for differences in age, sex, race, weight ) In light of the stature of the newest Pres. of the U.S., a person has to wonder how much of a factor this was.
Just thinking!!!

As a fairly tall person (almost 5'8'') I have found my height an advantage - but not in the nonthinking way you mention! I wish I was taller!
