I Love It When A Plan Comes Together!

Sunday, January 04, 2009

...to quote the A TEAM. Remember that TV show, the A Team? Well I have a plan and I will being saying that when I start seeing the results of my plan.
Today starts the Boot camp! I weighed first thing this morning and I gained 1 lb 4 oz over the holidays. ! emoticon Today is a new start for me though so I will not beat myself up over that. I have just resolved to do better. I am going to get my measurements taken today. I am going to track the food I eat as closely as possible and try to eat six meals/snacks a day. Each meal/snack will be healthy food and small portions. That will be better for my blood sugar and give me more energy throughout the day. I am hoping that I will start getting at least 6 hrs of sleep a night. I would really love to get 8 hrs a night but I have sleep disorders so I have not slept 8 hrs a night consistently in many, many yrs. I know that it can and will affect my weight if I am not sleeping well.
We got a WII this morning! We have to save some more to be able to get the Fit but we have been bowling this morning. My friend was laughing at me because I was really getting into the bowling game. I scored a 210 on the second game I bowled. I never did that at a bowling alley before! emoticon I was putting in everything I had and it was a fun workout. I figure that once I get used to doing it, I will add a wrist weight to give more challenge. I also need to learn to bowl left-handed so I can work that side as well. That will be a challenge! I would also like to get the WII Play because it has other games I would like. That will have to wait since funds are limited.
I hope everyone is having a great 2009 so far!

Just think... you only gained 1lb 4 oz this holiday season. When is the last time you could say that? I'll bet in previous years you treated yourself to at least 5 extra pounds. Keeping your gain low IS an accomplishment.

I will love to hear about your experiences with your Wii whenever you are able to get the Fit program. I am tempted to get one too, but I am always slow to buy "new" stuff. : )
