One of my big motivators in life is my participation in the Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC), an annual 2-day, 190-mile bicycle ride across Massachusetts to raise money for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's fight against cancer. 2009 will be my sixth year of participating in this record-breaking event. Last year, 5,400 riders raised $35 million, more than double that of any other athletic fundraising event in the country that year. Plus, 100% of every rider-raised dollar goes directly to the Jimmy Fund, Dana-Farber's fundraising arm. Training for the PMC keeps me healthy and active in the summer.
