New goal

I have a new goal. The Y where I swim is sponsering a Triathalon in December. I'm not going to be up to it this year, but next year, I think I can be ready. I'll have to jog 2 miles, bicycle 5 miles, and swim 500 yards. I can be ready for that in a year, I think? The jogging part may be the toughest. I have just gotten to where I can walk moderate distances. We'll see!!!

    I did my first triathlon (indoor) last year, and it was a blast! I finished dead-last. (They had literally handed out half the trophies by the time I finished I took so long.) I walked almost the entire 2 miles, so don't think that because it's a triathlon that you have to be fast, or graceful. I wasn't either one. But I finished. And for that alone, I'm proud. You won't know what you're capable of until you try. So GO FOR IT!!! You might just surprise yourself!

    September I did my first Triathlon! I have two planned for this coming summer.
    I read the book the The Slow Fat Triathlete. Get it! It was the most inspiring book I ever read.
    You can do it. And trinewbies.com will help with a training schedule.

    Chrissy, Thanks for stopping by my page.You are such a inspiration to me, I have been slacking off doing my exercising for the past 2 weeks & have been at the same weight for over a month or more. I will start by getting back on the treadmill, thank you!
