Now that I have accomplished what I set out to do a few months ago I am feeling as I always did, never being overweight in my life. With all the chemotherapy and not being able to get outside and developing very poor eating habits I woke up one day and found out I was obese. That really hit home.
So now I wish there was a way I could help other people see how really simple and easy this process is. I know it's a long one and a lifetime commitment for some that have struggled all their lives.
The new fad of dieting, lap band or gastric bypass is just a bunch of crap as far as I am concerned. Why not the old fashioned way? There's no guarantee of keeping the weight off and in the whole scheme of life having faced cancer and having to live with that the rest of my life why can't we take control of our own destiny where weight is concerned.
Since I joined SP a few people along the way asked me to be their buddy and I said yes and wrote to them and tried helping only to find out within a few days they disappeared never to be heard from again. Sorry to be mean but when I read posts that say chocolate is taking over me, stress is taking over me, that's all nonsense created in the mind. Dieting is the path to a healthier life style and food doesn't control us, we control our own bodies.
My blood pressure has been normal for a while now, my heart rate is normal and I am no longer in the BMI obese category.
If I can help just one person here I would feel like I accomplished something.
