My Journey - October 24
Friday, October 24, 2008
So here we are almost at the end of October and where has the time gone. It seems like yesterday when I started my journey I was so overwhelmed by the task that lay ahead of me. With all the hard work and almost at my goal weight I can't believe I did it. I only hope I can encourage others to start and stick with the plan.
I had my endoscopy on Wednesday and it went OK. Dr. Patel will give me the entire results when I see her in two weeks. Instead of spraying and freezing my throat as she's done in the past I was given anesthesia and it was fabulous never knew what happened. I have had a sore throat for a day now from the procedure but nothing awful.
Sunday morning is my routine check up with Dr. Traube and from all signs my blood pressure is stabilized and pretty much normal. I hope he will see fit to reduce some of my meds.
I am having so much trouble with my knee and falling without any notice it just happens. Now my leg is so stiff so have to figure out what to do with that when I finish all my other doctor appointments I have scheduled. During the last 3 years of chemotherapy I didn't really take care of normal routine things with my health because that in itself was enough for me. Well it's time to move on.
My buildings are in the process of major overhauling on the bricks and terraces and the dust, dirt and noise factor has become so hard to deal with that I am so happy it's Friday knowing the workers won't be here this weekend. Less than an hour and all hell and noise breaks loose on the roof as they set up for the day. I wish I could have slept later since there's no way of sleeping once they start.
