Monday Monday, la la .....

Are you humming the song now? Me too.

Happy Monday, checking in to chart my progress and say hello. I'm still on the program, yippee, just need to catch up my food tracker for the weekend. Dropped a few of my "what happened this summer?" pounds this week, thank goodness.

Had a busy weekend, PTA training Saturday for the Reflections program I am helping the school with and then taught dd8 yahtzee and wound up playing for several hours. I got a kick out of how much she enjoyed it. Dd10 brought a friend home from soccer but they were too cool for yahtzee, LOL.

On Sunday got my butt out of bed at 6:00am for my Tampabay fit running club. Had a physical therapist who spoke after our run look at my feet and he advised me that my $75 Nikes (most expensive gym shoes I ever bought, didn't pay that much of course on mega sale) were not really running shoes. Apparently I have "minimal arches" and "terrible pronation" and need some super stabilizing, total motion control shoes soon if I am going to keep running without injury. Bummer.....

Came home, mowed the lawn, went to church and then afterwards I watched the Bucs lose to the Saints with dh and we had an actual sit down family dinner. I need to make arrangements so that we can do this more often, its just sooooooooooo hard, whine whine whine, because we are all soooo busy, LOL. I'll get there.

More details than you probably wanted but hey, that's my life. I'm counting down the days to the new job. Hope you are happy and well. xoxo

What an action packed day. I did laugh at DD10 being too cool for yahtzee. Now if her friend had not been with her would she still have been too cool. hehe!

As for the running shoes, (yes it's lecture time!), get your shoes fited properly. If you have a Fleet Feet Sport in Tampa they are really good (www.fleetfeetsports.com). If not find a running store in your area and have feet properly fitted. When I was fitted, I actually found that I could get a wide shoe for my big feet instead of going a size larger. I have the flat feet with serious pronation problems. Now that I have the right shoes my feet love me....now the knees....still working on those. Also, the Running Warehouse usually has their shoes at a reasonable price (www.runningwarehouse.com) and shipping is free and they usually arrive in a couple of days. My shoes at the running store is $100.00 and at the Running Warehouse they are about $75.

Great job on losing those pounds. Good to hear your hard work is paying off. Bummer about the shoes. I've had problems with my feet before, and it's no fun. Don't know much about my pronation, though! Glad to hear you were able to spend some quality time with your family - what's more important? Yahtzee sounds fun to me, by the way. You have to be pretty cool to be too cool for Yahtzee!
