This has been the worst pain I have ever experienced!! It was unexpected at 5am Friday morning. I went to the emergency room not knowing what was going on. First, I thought maybe I was having a heart attack, since I had problems breathing. But my chest didn't hurt so I was confused. My 17 year old daughter drove me to the hospital. They checked me in very quickly under 10 minutes. I had an EKG, ultrasound and Cat Scan before they knew what was going on but that pain was worse than when I had my 2 babies!! I would never wish this on anyone. I have a doctor's appointment on Tuesday so I won't know if I will have to get my gallbladder removed or not. But I am going to request it to be removed because I'm scared to go through that pain again. I'm told that it's not necessary to keep it anyway. Well I wanted to let everyone know what was going on and I will keep in touch with you all. I am not sure about working out but I'm going to try to start tracking my nutrition again on a daily basis. All prayers are needed.....thanks SP friends!!

I had my gallbladder removed a little over a year ago, totally fast recovery, easy surgery, quick outpatient procedure, yes I'd recommend it. I would bet your doctor will anyway, as they say once you've had one you're predisposed to get them again. Watch the fatty foods for now (I'm sure you are anyway:) as that's what your gallbladder does, and don't be scared of the surgery. I'm glad they got it specified quickly, it took a couple weeks for them to figure out what was wrong with me! Good luck.
