Back to square.......1?

Sunday, August 24, 2008

Well...No, not really, this is not square one for me... This should be something like square 65 in a 100 squares game...I'm more than halfway done here...But I had a few set backs..here goes the story of how I've got stuck:

Feb '08 moved out to the city, all by my self, 1hr away from home, no more swimming pool available, new in town....

March '08 grandpa got sick plus I lost my job...

April '08 grandpa died, I get a new job at a HUGE corporation, throws me off a bit since I cannot bring my food nor have time to go to the gym...

May through July '08 rough patch with the (now ex) boyfriend with whom I lived with.

August '08 started back on my own, no more negative influences (yes, I mean the ex) in my life... just my will power to get back on track.

So yeah, life sucked this past few months but for some reason I feel better than what I did back in Jan '06 when I started here (maybe cus I was 230? and now I'm 185...) But anyway, like my page goes, I've started tracking again and found a gym near work, will be going 3x/week... not my old 2hrs 6x/week but better than nothing... right??

Here I go again, the spell has been broken and a new journey begins..wish me luck!

I am sorry to hear about your grandpa. And yeah, it helps a lot when you just cut out people who bring nothing but complications.

Glad to hear that you're getting back to working out. And no, as long as you are conscious about what you 'should' be doing, you can never get back to square 1. All the best!

Hey Aldi, great to see a post in your blog! And I'm glad it summed up the last little while in your life, since now I'm all caught up, lol. Sorry to hear about your Grandpa - I lost mine a few weeks ago too. Circle of life, I guess. Congrats on moving out on your own, even if you had to use a boy as a stepping stone to get there emoticon Was that Fran? Too bad for him then; he was just practice for you! Isn't it lovely to realize you're free of a negative person in your life? I've been there.
Where is the new job? How come you can't bring food?! I would go crazy if I couldn't bring food to work. Glad you've got a gym near your office too - that will help. What about doing stuff at home as well, even just something little like the Spark Videos, if you're feeling like three times a week (like a "normal person", hee hee) isn't enough? I am thinking about maybe attempting a tri in the new year, so I will be coming to you for swimming advice for sure! Do you go back and visit all your old friends at the pool once in a while? I'm sure you're missed.

Wishing you the very very best! GOOD LUCK on your new journey. Have fun! emoticon
