I have lost 18 pounds so far this year! Thanks to Sparks and all the people who have supported me!

Saturday, July 26, 2008

I still have a long way to go but I wouldn't be where I am today without the support of all my spark buddies.

I am DONE being the Fat Girl! Someone pointed out that I have lost 18 pounds this year and I didn't even realize it. I do know that lately the scale is moving slowly but man are the clothes fitting so much better. My two favorite pairs of jeans are practically falling off of me. They don't cause that roll to show in all my shirts anymore. LOL! This is so movtivating for me and believe me with everything going on in my life right now, I need motivation.

Tonight I met with my husband to fill out the divorce papers and it broke my heart. I just don't want this divorce and all the hurt that comes with it. I know in my heart he loves me but is going through something neither of us can understand and I just need to give him his space and pray that he will come around or that we will both be better and stronger people because of it. I have met so many wonderful people on Sparks and it has truly been a blessing.

Thank you Sparks for helping me to get back on track and get my life back. You guys ROCK! Thanks to the Nashville Challenge I am committed to exercising and being held accountable for the time I put into it. And thanks to the wonderful, loving ladies at DONE being the Fat Girl for the awesome support system they provide! 2008 is going to be my year of new beginnings and a healthier, happier me. emoticon

YEA to 18 lbs gone FOREVER!!!

    You ROCK GIRL!

Keep it up... slow steady steps in the right directions. A spark buddy sent me this over the weekend... some good thoughts..... thought I'd share with you!!

    Build upon what you build

You may not think you have what it takes to persist in your efforts for long periods of time. Yet all you must do is persist for just a moment, and then another moment, and then another.

The energy necessary for achievement is never going to be fully available to you when you begin. But go ahead and begin, and that energy comes to you as you require it.

Do not be dismayed at how long the journey will take. Instead, be thankful and enthusiastic about the one particular step you can take right now.

Success creates its own capacity for fulfillment as it moves along. Your job is to keep moving it along.

Give your best to the task at hand. That will prepare you and equip you for the next task, and the next.

Build what you can with what you have, and then build upon what you build. In this simple, steady, accessible way, whatever you envision is within your reach.
