Getting Started

Saturday, July 19, 2008

I've only been on sparkpeople for about 6 days now and so far i'm feeling great. This is defiantly different than any past attempts at "dieting." For one thing, I'm working really hard to incooperate fats, which is something I've never done before. After reading all of the articles I'm understanding that fats are still very important as long as you eat the right kinds! A couple of days this week I've actually been way below my calorie and fat reccomendations, which was disappointing, but also exciting that I was disappointed about not getting enough fat! This has never been a problem before, so I know this time is going to be different. I've already tried making muffins and salmon this week, and usually I never cook! But the recipes on here look so good and healthy and NOT PROCESSED that I'm excited to try them. My starting weight is 222lbs and I haven't taken my measurements yet but ill get on that soon. One more year till a healthier me! I am so excited. I'm writing this now so i can read it later and tell myself to keep going when times get touch. I'm beautiful, and I am a good person, and if i have an off day, there is always tomorrow, no giving up this time!

I really think that staying away from processed foods is KEY. I try to eat REAL food as opposed to 100-calorie packs of empty calories and I feel so much LESS hungry when I do!
