I Sometimes long for those days in my youth when I had unlimited energy and could eat anything I wanted without consequence.
Incidentaly, I ate a lot healthier in those days than I do now. These days it's like a constant battle with myself to have self control and do the things that I know are good for my body and overall health. Recently, I read the book by Joyce Meyer, "Look Great, Feel Great". I really enjoyed this book, because it focuses on diet and exercise from a Christian perspective. God want us to be our best and feel our best, to be better servant for His work.
Reminding myself of that daily, helps me not to give up the fight. I am still learning just to take one day at a time. I know the Lord gives me strength to make it through each day. My prayer is that I will claim that strength and rely on God as my power source when my human strength cannot endure.
