Mom Sense: It's kind of like Batman's bat sense or Spiderman's spider sense and all good moms have it.
My parents had come to help me after my third joint replacement. One night shortly after coming home from the hospital, I ran into trouble. Everyone had gone to bed and been asleep for hours. When I awoke in the middle of the night, I needed to use the bathroom, but my crutches were no where in sight. So I pulled the plug on my obnoxiously loud alarm. In the room closest to me, my husband never heard the alarm. Nor did my son, who slumbered through the night. Even my Dad failed to respond to the alarm. Amazingly from the far side of the house, the room farthest from me, through closed doors, my Mom heard my alarm and came out to help me. I wondered how she had been the only one who responded. She told me that it came with being a mom. She said with children you learn to listen throughout the night and respond on call. My Mom has mom sense, she's my Superhero.
