"15 AND COUNTING......."

Saturday, May 10, 2008

As of today, I have lost 15 pounds. I can not even begin to tell you how good that makes me feel, especially after the really difficult diet and exercise day I had 3 days ago. I had really blown it that one day, but to come back and lose 2 pounds this week...It is just the motivation I needed.

This has been the easiest, and most successful (without medication) diet that I have ever done. I can truly see myself doing this for the rest of my life, because I do not feel deprived at all. I have learned that it's okay to enjoy birthday cake at a party, or ice cream every once in a while, or even CHOCOLATE...YUM! I just have to determine what is worth it and what is not. I can choose lower calorie. lower fat options and enjoy them just as much. I have learned to cook healthier, and have enjoyed finding spark recipes and sharing some of my own.

Finally, I have formed some invaluable friendships. I never knew how much easier it could be with the support of a community that is traveling the same journey. Sparkpeople is an amazing site, that is helping to make this lifestyle change so much easier.

Thank you God for leading me to this site.
Thank you Spark Guy for your hard work and dedication in funding and creating this site.
Thanks you to all my Spark Friends (or sparkly friends, as my 13 year old son calls you.) emoticon
And best of luck to everyone as you travel this journey.

Remember, you are not alone.

    Great Job!

I started out wearing a size 22W jeans. I remember jumping up and down and being so happy the first time I wore a size 18. Now, thank to all the wonderful people on this site, I am in a size 10.

You can achieve your goals. YOU Deserve it!

    God Bless You! emoticon
