Who do I compete against?

Ultimately, I compete against time.

Before I start any project, I like to project a realistic time frame for how long it takes to accomplish the goal. In weight loss, quick results give me a mental boost, but are seldom permanent. SparkPerson JudyPoppins wrote: "The elevator to success is out of order...You have to use the stairs, One step at a time." Maybe permanent weightless is all about spending time on ourselves.

I wonder:
How long will it take to change a lifetime of bad eating habits?
How much time am I willing to spend before I get frustrated and quit?
How much time per day am I willing to spend acquiring the tools I need to make my metamorphic change occur?
Am I willing to make time for me?

Time will tell.
