Great way to start out May!My youngest daughters volleyball practice was at a park tonight. I decided to explore it and came upon the Columbine memorial. My oldest was barely 3 months old when this tragedy occured. A beautiful memorial and an emotional air surrounding it. I felt this was pretty profound and it made me pause. Hug your babies a bit tighter tonight. Not too shabby considering I don't feel goodSystem crash at work, which meant an hour long walk.A wise woman once told me "no matter how bad a day you have, a walk will always make it better ". The mileage is off as well as the time....BUT I was gifted this lovely art as my fitbit reward 😂Took my run outside for the first time today. I did more walking then I prefer...BUT I finished strong.Gray days means nobody is outside...and I can sing louder lolBeen a week since I've seen this. Nice 45 min run...slow but steady. Not too shabby for a MondayBring on TuesdayDecided to explore a trail while my little one was at a birthday party. My view at the end of my run tonight A lovely surprise this morning A little giggle for your day =o)I would have had more, but I accepted a ride from a coworker to the train station yesterday after work. As a reward to myself for sticking to my goals for a month, I bought myself tickets back in January to see Lisa Loeb. I went Thursday night and as an added bonus I got to meet her!! Hit my 10,000 step goal before getting to work today Hard to believe it will start snowing tonight. But this is Colorado 😉Didn't walk to the train or walk home from the train. This makes you think My youngest after her girls on the run 5k. I'm raising some awesome runners (my oldest became obsessed with running after her 1st girls on the run 5k). Now I have a new running buddy :) A nice surprise after a quick run this evening The sunrise was amazing this morning. The picture looks blurry because of the fog. Love morning like this.Super busy day20 years ago today I graduated high school and today my oldest and the first love of my life graduated high school. My cup runneth over. This is where I spent my weekend. Forgot my fitbit at home, BUT it was totally worth disconnecting from technology and reconnecting with my family 😊I have been transitioning my runs from the treadmill to outdoors. Slowly getting there 😊My new travel mug...nobody in my house got it but I sure laughed enough for them ;) Waiting at DIA for my little one to fly out to see her Grandma. I'll be taking the train to work the month she's goneTook the train to work today Last week's statsPosted a photoSlowly my speed is increasing...even on days I feel it isn't Posted a photoKinda achieved this number by accident lol. After contemplating skipping Zumba I decided to go. I'm glad I did, my favorite instructor was teaching. MondayTuesday This was day 1 of me doing C25k outside (I transitioned my runs to outside) July 1st 2017Here is today's stats! W6D1 of C25k, pretty good progress 😊We all have a choice to make, and it will bring us closer or further from our goals. Have a great weekend Spark family 😊I have not been in the 100's for over 2 years. Today marks a big milestone for me. Have a great day everyone!So...this just happened! I have not been in the 100's for over 2 years. It's nice to see my hard work paying off.Mastering the art of low calorie smoothie making The sunrise was amazing this morning and my reward for heading out for a run while it was still dark. Sorry for the picture being blurry. I was at a great pace and didn't want to slow down or stop, but I also didn't want to not take a picture. So I took the shot while I kept up my fast pace 😠LOL! Have a wonderful day everyone!HA! Not really, but Forest makes me smile 😉 I am officially a C25k graduate AND I am only 20 seconds away from my "runs" being considered "runs" according to Spark. Regardless as of today, I am now an outdoor runner. My time is improving slowly (10 seconds faster then Wednesdays time). Never think you are too big to run, I started out close to 220 pounds and didn't give up. #deliciousdailymoment So tired, this morning. I only got 3 hours of sleep, but that wasn't stopping me from getting this run in! Quick run this morning Lasagna portabella mushrooms Nothing was stopping me from getting to Zumba this morning. That Brown blob was a huge spider that was making a web on my drivers side door this morning. Thankfully he was blown away after I got on the interstate lolMany perks to my car being in the shop for hail damage. One less car on the road, more steps for me since I'm commuting via train, AND I don't have to deal with insane Denver traffic 😀Today I needed this reminder. I'm frustrated with a coworker and have been for some time now. I need to stop allowing myself to react with anger.@MIAMI_LILLY I saw this an instantly thought of you. I hope you have a nice weekend!I haven't been able to get out for a run for 11 days. Decided today I would do at least 3 miles. Surprised my pace was actually faster then my last run, especially since I added some hills today. Now to go home and study for my lab practical Wednesday, 🤗I did pretty well last week 😀First snowfall of the season. Today it is nice and sunny, able to go for my walk without my coat. Love this wacky state ðŸ˜Tofu burrito bowl. My first attempt with tofu and I'm quite pleased This absolutely true!Today I turn 39...and I have to say I have accomplished more then I ever imagined when I was 38. I plan to arrive in my 40's healthier then I was in my 20's. 39 will be my best year yet! This is the first Thanksgiving I tracked everything. Not bad at all if I don't say so myself. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!Oh its too bad I can't get the entire coat, so cute! I am overly excited, this coat is a large! I haven't been in a large in years!!!!I have not been able to fit into a large in years! I am in such disbelief by this I can't take the coat off LOL!I have been struggling for the past couple of weeks. Between my lab practical, finals, work, my kids, house stress and everything else, I have not made me a priority. However seeing this in my email today, reminded me why I am getting healthy. I know it says that Spark members think I'm motivational, but truly spark members are just the same. I was so surprised and it was just what I needed today, Thank you! 😙💓💖💙💚💗I have been struggling the past few weeks, with school, work, family, everything. I have not made myself a priority this week, and I was feeling pretty low. Then today I saw this in my email, I was so surprised. I know it says that other spark members think I'm motivating, but you guys are just as motivating! This was just what I needed, to remind myself that despite the craziness I call life right now, I deserve to take care of me! You guys are awesome! Thank you so much 🤗😊💓💞My mason jar taco salad is so delicious! Finally snow! I didn't let the cold temps or snow hinder my run either. It felt amazing, this is the first time EVER I have ran in the snow. Remembering my yak traks helped 😀 I'm only bummed it won't be snowing all day 😞14 degrees holy cannolli it's cold! Zoo lights for New Year's eve, something different. A fresh new badge I got today. Super way to start off 2018 😊@Andy4u, I made it. It is not as pretty as your cauliflower burger, but it sure is good 😊 Awesome find at the dollar store! HahaWhen all else fails get out of the beehive. Day one of my vacation and im already sore from my 10+ mile hike.Lizard lake from yesterdays hike (forgot to post). I have only encountered lakes this color (my phone did not do it justice) in the White River National Forest. I have never explored this area before, I'm absolutely loving this area. Maroon bells, this has been on my bucket list since I was 17. I spent a lot of time just taking in all this wonder. It's been too long since I've done this hike. I sure did miss it... including those insane inclines. I did a body pump class for the first time in years. I was the largest and most out of shape person there. My legs were trembling and I felt lime my arms were going to fall off. BUT I stuck it out through the entire class. Nobody said anything negative to me and two people told me I did great. Im glad I got out of my own head. I may be super sore tomorrow, but totally worth it. Im proud of myself for not letting fear hold me back. Pretty sure this will be and stairs tomorrow 😉Today I turn 40 and these will be the healthiest years of my life! Up bright and early to volunteer at a school that packs meals for the kids and their families for the weekend. Next up body pump and then I have my bio class this afternoon. Starting my new year off on the right foot, taking care of not only my physical health but also my mental health as well. Have a fantastic day everyone! 💖💫👑🍸🍾🎂🍨🎁🎀🎉🎊☄😀😙Had an amazing dinner with my family last night. This morning is breakfast with my bff to celebrate our birthdays (his is tomorrow). But first cardio in tbe below 30 degree temps outside. Thank you everyone for all the birthday wishes yesterday, it truly was an amazing day.I ended 2018 sick and started 2019 sick. Although I have no energy for exercise my food choices have been great. I'm controlling the one thing I can right now. I bought these for my youngest daughter, they are not horrible just odd. She can have the rest, maybe eventually I'll like them...just not today. My first attempt with a smoothie bowl. Definitely not an Instagram worthy picture....but super delicious.A bit of humor I found on Pinterest tonight.A friendly reminder from my tea and coffee cup (just ignore my pathophysiology book 🙃 thats my reminder to study later)A difference that 30min makes. When I went for my walk this morning it was raining mixed with snow. Now it is windy and snowy. I'm super excited for this blizzard!Today I went for a hike....because it was nice out and I needed it. I went so early there was hardly anyone out there. I needed that silence to realize a few things that have been weighing heavy on my heart. Have a great day everyone!I have slowly been getting back into the habit of my step goal. It became difficult when I started working from home (no more walking to and from the train station). But, I have been more mindful and creative in sneaking in extra steps. It was nice to see this badge, haven't had one in a long time. Just more motivation to keep on moving.Someone feels I should be paying attention to him, instead of my homework.35 degrees and overcast....perfect weather for a walk. The cold air feels great and reminds me those mountains are calling me. I love my early morning walks, all i hear is nature and for a moment I forget I'm in the city. Not sure what my deal was today, complete chaos with my food choices and a rough day all around. However, I meal prepped for the week and my kitchen is clean 🙄. Tomorrow will be a better day.Totally me at work today 😂 On a completely different note, is anybody having issues with app notifications? Haven't gotten any in quite some time, even after uninstalling then reinstalling the app, turned my phone on and off, checked my settings in the app and phone...yet no notifications (for anything). How I felt today at work LOL! On a side note, is anybody having an issue with not receiving notifications on the app? I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, confirmed my settings are allowing notifications in both the app and my phone and I even turned the phone on and off....yet no notifications. I haven't gotten any in quite some time, just curious if anyone else is having this issue too.Forgot to post this the other day. It snowed during my entire walk.Yesterday was beyond stressful. However, I did not give into the siren song of the drive thru. And instead of eating a bazillion cookies, i only had a few. I stayed within mu calorie range despite not getting in my walks. Today I feel an overwhelming sense of accomplishment. Also, today was 100% better 😀Haha a little humor for your day. I'm off to work on a paper. The topic I chose was the topic my professor did her masters thesis on 😰🙃 can't anx won't change my topic...I have my work cut out for me. Have a great day everyone!!!While doing research for my history paper, I cam across this newspaper clipping. Even in 1926 they knew what to do to live a healthy life (the little clipping of the three)While doing research for my history paper, I came across this newspaper clipping. Even in 1926 they knew how to be healthy. Yesterday the best damn cat in the world crossed the rainbow bridge. My only comfort is he is no longer in pain. He will be forever missed especially while I'm doing homework....who is gonna sit on my books now while I try to study?I have been struggling with my meal prep lately. I plan everything but the calorie aftershock is a bit much. Today I feel like I am making some progress, planning the next weeks meals today and looking for substitutes along the way. On a completely different side note. Under all this fruit is some Total cereal, Ivwasn't left feeling starved and right under 400 calories.Just a reminder24 degrees and snowing did not stop me from getting my Saturday morning walk in. A slow (and late start) walk because nothing was shoveled...but walking in the snow burns more calories I'm sure 😉 so peaceful and beautiful, just what I needed.A longer walk this morning, it was nice. My phone decided to uninstall my map my walk app half way through my walk. But, I did notice my speed has increased. Have a great day everyone!!A change in scenery for my Sunday walk. 20 degrees outside, but that made it more peaceful and quiet. Its only cold if your standing still 😉A little humor while I am social distancing myself.Posted a photoI may have found my new favorite hike in the White River National Forest 🌳🌲My week off from work is coming to an end. I am so happy I got to spend a good amount of that time in the mountains camping and hiking. Back on track tomorrow 😃This picture does not so this sunrise justice. Although all Colorado sunrises (and sunsets) are gorgeous, this one was intensified by all of the wildfires burning. By the end of my walk, the sun was covered by the haze from all of the smoke.93 degrees yesterday and snow today. My pup that was adopted from Texas, pretty sure this is his first experience with snow 😅. The looks he was giving meYesterday’s surprise at the end of my hike. I encountered her shortly after saying I had never seen a moose, despite all the time I have spent in the mountains. Stayed far enough away for safety while enjoying this amazingly beautiful animal.I am slowly easing back into running.
And sometimes this is the actual dialogue in my head when it comes to running.Woke up to this lovely sight this morning. I truly am blessed. Have an amazing day 😊One of the views from my early morning adventure with my favorite hiking buddy.
