When you contemplate buying lasanaga on your way home.. But hold back and end up eating salad for lunch! #Delish
I hadn't tried pumpkin in salad before but it's a nice addition (:
I am a terrible snacker! I always open the fridge to find something quick and easy to eat. So I hope I have found a solution! My very own snack box. Sitting right at the front of the fridge that will hopefully stop me from reaching anything else! (:
Day 6:
Day 6:
Pretty happy with my results for the day! It was good having my boyfriend around (as I am in a long distance relationship). We went to the movies, we went out for Thai for dinner then finished with a nice walk along the beach! (:
I have been 4 days without soft drink so I allowed myself to have some with dinner! But didn't at the movies.
I am actually really happy about my progress so far this week! :D
Can you even call a walk exercise with a view like that?
4.5km isn't a bad way to end a perfect weekend (:
Breaky and lunch for the next few days. Sorted!
I never thought I would come to appreciate meal prep this much! But it's amazing when I know I won't want to cook. Especially cooking for one while at uni (:
Yesterday was a bad day for nutrition, exercise and motivation.
Today is a new day. Everyone has days where they fall down. But it's all about being able to shrug it off and keep going.
Today I'm keeping my eyes on small tasks. Eating at least 2 healthy meals and avoiding soft drink.
I have also decided that every time I get bored whilst studying I will get up and do 10 squats and 10 sit ups to stop myself from going for food!
Ha. Look at what is being advertised at the bottom of my newsfeed on here 🤔🤔
Not a bad gym sesh and I have avoided soft drink for the third day in a row!
One of my biggest weaknesses is struggling to eat healthy food when I am tired and feeling down about my weight. I am a very big comfort eater so I often resort to unhealthy food.
However, this is what I managed to pull together for lunch. Crumbed fish and salad along with some lemon water.
Now to focus on this afternoon and to avoid soft drink and binge eating. Wish me luck.

Meal prep mornings!
Over night oats ✔
Rice paper rolls. ✔
Pumpkin salad ✔
Thats breaky for the next two days. Lunch for the next two days. Salad for dinner. And plenty as a back up option if my parents buy take away over the weekend (:
Slowly creating some routine and discipline to exercise regularly.
Easy, quick, something different, healthy and plenty of leftovers for when I am feeling lazy later this week (:
After 2 weeks being unable to exercise (injury and illness) I finally got back to it today! It was a very painful session but I pushed through and it felt amazing
Here I am sitting at work (McDonalds) on my lunch break.. thinking about all the unhealthy food that I could be eating.. all the food I want to be eating.. but staying strong with my packed lunch instead
Exercise is so much easier when you do something you love. I burnt a solid 512 calories by taking my exercise session outside today (:
Today was the day that I reached the 3kg mark. Now I have lost 3.1kg (:
It was also the first time I have baked dinner for the family (:
Feeling accomplished!
Eating healthy food is a lot easier when its left overs from a baked dinner!
We got lost at one stage.. and it was extremely challenging.. But the view was beyond amazing and so worth it!
A 2 hour hike (including lunch) burnt a whooping 848 calories!
It's nice to get back to nature when exercising. It feels less like a chore!
Sitting here on my break at work (McDonalds) eating my nut bar.. avoiding all temptation..
It's a good thing I had steak and veggies for dinner before I started.
So very very hard
It's hard to get back into it when you stop.. especially in winter. At least I achieved one goal today (:
This week I signed back up to the gym. It look me a few days to build up the motivation to attend but I started my day with a spin class and this is how I went (:
Here's to many more gym sessions, moving back into clean eating, improving fitness and losing some weight (:
Mornings like this make it a lot easier to wake up early to go to the gym.
After all.. when the sun shines that bright through my window I literally can't go back to sleep :P
So.. I am a uni student and I have just started Masters of Occupational Therapy (:
For this semester I am staying on campus and they do weekly community dinners on a Wednesday night. I have also found a really fun gym class - body combat - that I enjoy that runs tonight at 7pm.
This is what I am missing out on to go to the gym :'(
It has been extremely hard to stay dedicated and motivated to go to tonight's class instead of free waffles for dinner!!
Complete 3 gym classes this week ✔
"I really don't want to go to the gym tonight. I am heaps tired. But I know I have to since I said I would"
My exact thoughts before smashing this out!
This week my goal was to attend 3 gym classes and I went to 4 (:
I didn't achieve my soft drink goal this week though and I constantly struggle with that. However, I did drink significantly less than last week so that is still a slight win.
I also jumped on the scales today to find a lovely 0.85kg decrease from last week!! My legs are very sore from the gym this week but it's very easy to live with when I am seeing those sorts of results!!
Have a good weekend everyone!!
I haven't had any soft drink the past 2 days. I felt like some today so I bought a baby 250ml can instead of a 600ml bottle (:
Small changes!
Stepping up for charity because there is no better cause!
Over 10,000 steps a day since Tuesday to raise money for Cerebral Palsy!
If anyone here would happen to be interested in donating please let me know and I can tell you how (:
Warm weather calls for salad!
Warm weather calls for meat and salad (:
Just a bit of prep and easy to grab nutritious snacks!
Oh I love spring (:
Anything is better then nothing right??
Especially when you are just getting started again after 2 months of being lazy.
After 7 odd years I have decided that I am going to go back to karate. As a teen it was something I really loved that drastically boosted my fitness levels and confidence. Here is hoping it works again! And let's see how sore I am after my first session tonight :P
Meal prep days before uni begins again!
Lets see if this helps to kick the soft drink addiction!
Talked myself out of buying and drinking soft drink today ✔
Ate a piece of fruit as a snack ✔
Smashed out this amazing session!! ✔
I absolutely love working with my own boxing bag. When I go back to uni I am going to check out Muay Thai classes that have heavy bag classes (:
I have been using this calendar the past two weeks almost to track how much soft drink I have been consuming.
Ticks represent the days I haven't drank any soft drink. For someone who used to/can drink it daily I am proud of myself so far! Today I had 2 opportunities to buy coke and I didn't either time 😁
Envision is an Australian company that converts bottle top lids into 3D printing material. With 500 lids they can make a prostetic limb for children who live overseas and require assistance.
As an Occupational Therapy student I immediately jumped on board. With help of everyone around me I have 399-440 lids (depending on if some are useable). Add that total to the collection point I started at work and its roughly 1,600 lids which is just over 3 prostetics!!
How amazing 😁
Roughly 14,312 and 10kms on my walk today! It was good to catch up with my cousin and meet her new bub. What a good way to do it!
Lunch!
This week I have been incorporating more fish into my diet to cut back on steak.
I am a soft drink addict without a doubt. I have already had soft drink while out for lunch on Sunday and yesterday. My main focus for the rest of the week will be resisting any more!
I never used to be an adventourous cook because I wasn't that interested in cooking. This year I started cooking family dinners with my dad on Saturday nights. Now that I'm back at uni it has sparked my interest to keep trying new things.
All I can say is this new interest in cooking has definitely helped me eat healthier food.
Embrace cooking! Have fun with it and don't just view it as a chore (:

The "I'm not that hungry but need something to pick at while I study snack"
Much better than the alternative options (:

You don't need a gym. Or to pay for expensive classes. This weather keeps encouraging me to get out and be active. 40 minutes of walking to/from the park and shooting hoops ended up in a 420 calorie work out!
On top of that I feel way better mentally after a good dose of sun and nature!
After two weeks of not going to the gym.. after a day of being in a pretty bad headspace.. after a full day of convincing myself to go.. I definitely feel better after my late afternoon gym sesh!
The photo was just 30 mins on the bike. I then finished off with 20 on the treadmill. Woo.
Another poem (:
Where does everyone access information about nutrition from?
And has anyone research food addiction/sought advice before?
Im from a rural community with few physical options.

How often does everyone jump on the scales?
I am really guilty of wanting to step on several times a week and it can take quite a bit of restraint to keep it to a weekly event!
Does anyone else share my pain??
8.5kms.
2hrs 10 minutes.
1249 calories.
A grade 3 hike and I definitely struggled but luckily it was worth it 😍 and long overdue..
Saturday morning well spent (:
Healthy eating doesn't have to be boring :D
Who would have thought that I would begin to love cooking so much. Not only is it meal prep for the week, it is also a way to unwind and clear my head!
Expressing a terrible few weeks through poetry 👌
After a terrible few weeks.. and likely more to come.. it was good to express myself through some poetry 👌
It can be hard living at home again when I don't have full control over meals.
Today I said no to KFC for lunch and had soup. I then said no to dominos pizza and made this for dinner. Very very satisfied with my choice :D
Picture perfect 😍
One of my photos from 1/2 walking tracks I did yesterday!
Last week I got engaged 😍
Here's hoping this helps to keep me motivated to lose some weight and feel more confident before the wedding!
