Hey there. I'm Kristen. I've been working on myself for years and years. I feel like I'm finally getting to know the me that I want to be (which is very exciting) and now I'm putting some more focus on my outsides so I can make sure that the person I am on the inside can be fully realized. Over the years of me trying to get control over the scale, I've seen my weight go up and down many times, and I know that I'm happier when it's down. I feel better about my self because I know I've accomplished a goal, I feel confident and toned, I don't get sick as often, I have the much needed energy to do the 1,000+ things that I put on my to-do-list ever day. haha

I got married to my husband Halloween 2010 and quickly gained 20 pounds. Boo! So, add this to the 12 pounds I gained when I slipped away from SP last year, and we have a grand total of 32 pounds to lose and I will be back at my happy healthy weight! Right in the middle of the normal BMI range. Perfect.

So, here's my 2011 challenge to myself. Get myself together. Feel better inside and out. Get healthy. Get moving.

*8 hours of sleep a night

*8 glasses of water a day

*5 days of exercise

*plan my meals ahead of time

*login to SP daily


My Program:
I try to journal daily and it's become like a meditation for me. The one book that has changed my life in the most amazing way is: The Writing Diet: Write Yourself Right-Size by Julia Cameron. It is worth it's weight in gold. I would recommend it to any SP'er.

    Both Couch to 5K and the Galloway 5K training program are good, IMO. I know people who've done Couch to 5K and are now running distance events regularly, so it's done its job well!

    You can take walk breaks whenever you feel like it on Galloway's plans. So when he says "run 10-15 mins.," you can run for 5 mins., take a walk break, then run for another few minutes, then take another walk break. He says to never wait to take a walk break, which is why his training plans are very popular. I used his marathon training plan for my first one, and I was able to run/walk my way through 90F temps on those 26 miles, LOL.

    You seem awesome, and I know you're going to do it. Did you lose weight prior to getting married? Is that why you retaliated with a 20 lb gain? I did the same thing when I moved in with my significant other.
