Getting back on track


I am 47, married 18+ years to my best friend. Became a couch potato and got older and ate more and exercised less and gained 50+ lbs since I got married. I would like to lose the weight and get back in shape.

My Goals:
I want to get back in shape. I am tired of the way I look, and tired of the way my clothes look on me. I can't wait to drop a few sizes and feel better about the way I look!

My Program:
 I am basically trying to burn more calories than I eat. I quit smoking over a year ago which did not help this endeavor. I have a tendency to over eat in the evenings.


Personal Information:
I live in Wilmington DE. I am a claims adjuster and handle large homeowner claims (mostly fires.) I love to read, especially on my Kindle. I have a 14 year old son and a 3 year old Gordon Setter (female) named Kona who is my baby! Married to my husband and best friend over 18 years!

    Thanks for the note on my page. I bet we were at PSU exactly at the same time as I notice we both 47. What was your major? I was Nutrition (and hated every minute of it:-)) but loved being in Happy Valley. Up until a couple of years ago my job took me back every few months so I got to see the many changes since I graduated in 1986.

    Hey, there! Never tried Fitday, but I know SP is awesome. I was very overwhelmed the first time i tried it out, but am getting around better now. My TV is broken so no Wii for me, the guy is supposed to be here with parts Friday - new TV, only about 6 months old! Eh, this new technology, great when it works, huh? No Netflix, no Pandora, no Wii, no recorded shows, nothin'. Gonna have to read a book for at least the rest of the week, lol.

    Keep up the good work with exercise! You inspire me!
