The health of my family members inspire me to live healthfully, live well and eat to live instead of living to eat. I aspire to conquer my emotional eating and deal with stress in a positive way instead of medicating myself with food!

I have lived through an on and off struggle with food after suffering major events in my personal/professional life. I fall down and rely on the known when it is comfortable. I get so overwhelmed at how much there is to lose that I forget about the here and now. It is embarassing that I am such a control freak in other aspects of my life, but my food choices are the one area I truly rebel. My daily walk with my food obsessions and habits are a challenge each and every day as I work towards healthier habits in my life.

My Goals:
One day at a time, living each day the fullest and coping with my food obsessions and self medicating myself with food through the stressful times!

My first goal of 2019 is to engage and sustain my attitude and drive toward my goals. Unfortunately it took gaining everything back for this perspective but here we are. Just proves when you take you eyes off the road, it is way too easy to get sidetracked. Headed into Fall with a new perspective and drive to make it happen.

Walking again with the dogs and bought a recumbent bike and will resume 3 days per week minimum as I did throughout my physical therapy. Realize how quickly the weight came back on after the new year once I ceased going to PT three days per week. My strength is better and happy to get moving again!

My Program:
As a result of a major medical event with my husband 8/28, no more Keto. Doc wants him on the what is left diet, you know how it goes. Low fat, low carb, less than 1500 calories per day. I"m doing it with him as we both have to make this a lifestyle change and switching over our midwest mindset from meat meat meat over to plants plants and more plants takes both our efforts. So far, so good and working to keep it interesting with grain bowls, plenty of salads and I made my own dressing anyway so easy to adjust things there too.

Personal Information:
FYI - to some, they see my sanctuary of SP as a dating pool, knock yourself out. (disclaimer: I've now had 2 guys reach out with romantic intentions) NOW HEAR THIS.... I am not looking for anyone NOR will I use SP as a way to meet men. I am happily married for 22 years and hope to share many more with the love of my life. I wish you well but if you are here because you have a fat woman fetish and think you are going to pursue me because of your perception of my lack of self-esteem and want to say sweet nothings to me via e-mail, save it for the dating apps and someone else. Thanks, move along and have a nice day! If you want a SP buddy that struggles like we all do to lift up and cheer on while I lift up and cheer you on, you've come to the right place!

Other Information:
September 2019 - down 8.7 pounds
October/November 2019 - joined 5% Fall challenge. Goal to lose 13.6 by 11/30 - Came within 3 tenths! 260.7, I'll take it, nothing to be ashamed there and lost 8 inches in my waist! YES!
December 2019 - steady through the holidays, meal plan, drink water and strive for 1 pound loss per week!
Starting where I've been stuck since mid December 259.5 for the 5% Winter Challenge. Goal of 13 pounds (rounding up) by 3/7/20. Here we go! 246.5 on my way!!
STRUGGLED through this challenge and got down to 257.1 but big big plateau!
