I've had weight issues (food addiction stemming from emotional "stuff" -- it had been a way to cope early on, I am sure) since about 9 or 10 years old., I am 67 yrs old, and had been so fed up with my weight for decades.

Not only was I super obese, but everything hurt (though much better now as the numbers have dropped significantly ).

After 13+ years in the UK (I married a Brit in early 2005), I have finally returned to Oregon, USA, at the end of February (2018) -- single. I am thrilled to be back near my family!

My highest weight, as embarrassing as it feels to admit it, was 384, the end of June, 2016. And on 18 Feb, I weighed in at just over 197. ONEDERLAND! Now at 182, I have only 10-15 or so to go, depending on what my 67 yr old body can do.

Having tossed out over 200 pounds so far, I feel a bazillion times better!

Care to join me? ;)

How are you doing Debb. I've missed you on Living Low Carb. I saw you weren't getting notifications from SparkPeople. SP bounced you and you need to get into your account, go to the email tab and reactivate. They automatically check the never email me again box at the bottom. Uncheck that and the notifications should start again. Sometimes it happens to me daily and at least weekly.

Hey there! I saw you liked my almond joy bars. I sweetened them with Swerve sweetener. I found you cannot sweeten melted coconut butter with a liquid. Just like melted chocolate, it makes it seize. I suppose you could also use Splenda or Truvia

Hi! emoticon I appreciated your comment on the article about "is there a polite way to tell someone they need to lose weight?" I did not agree with that article - I wouldn't touch that subject with someone with a ten-foot pole because - regardless of the status of my health - I wouldn't want anyone bringing it up to me! I already know I'm overweight and I know the health risks, etc. Also - I love your doggies - they're beautiful!! Have a wonderful day and a very Happy New Year! emoticon Karen
