Hi! I'm a recent college grad, and I realized after I finished writing my dissertation that I had really let myself go for the last few years. I've never been particularly fit, or sporty and active, but I definitely used to do more than sit in front of a computer all day, every day!

Not only do I want to shed this puppy fat, I want to firm up and build some muscles I never had. I'm aiming for a healthy and permanent lifestyle change, no matter what my future brings.

I never believed it, but calorie counting with Spark is really working! I had no idea how much I used to eat. I love to cook and experiment, and I've always loved healthy food - fast food, junk food, and soda have thankfully been out of my diet for years and I don't really miss them. But I really need to work on my PORTION CONTROL!! That wholegrain pasta, veggie packed, light on the lean meat supper might be great for me, if I could just be satisfied with less!

I'm also doing ok with cardio, but now I'm trying to work in some strength training so that my body has some shape. I've got a bit of an out of control behind - I've heard it described as "ghetto booty" - and I'm ready to take it down a notch and firm it up into something I can be proud of!

* Track my calories every day
* Drink tons of water
* Do cardio 5x a week
* Do strength training 2-3 times a week
* Learn the most effective strength training exercises

Personal Information:
Los Angeles native, living a long way from home in jolly olde England. Just finished my MA and am on the hunt for a job. Thought I'd put some of this free time to good use!
