I am a baby boomer. I have been heavy all my life, and now am thinking how much life I have left. My daughter just got married and I want so much to spend time with my future grandchildren. My husband and I do alot of recreational traveling on the weekends. We try to walk alot to get our exercise, but that is only on the weekend.

My Goals:
My goals are to first get healthy, then find the right kind of clothing to wear. My biggest goal is to see my future grand children!


My Program:
I'm going to try to lose 1 to 2 lbs a week. I'm starting out slow so that I can keep a good pace..lol. I have had osteo arthritis for about 15 years now. I had my left knee replaced at the age of 48. Not a good sign. I have just worked hard all my life and now I pay for going above and beyond. But hey it made me look hard at myself and I now have a job I love and can go above and beyond with out hurting anything..lol. I am a accounting assc. and I love it.



Personal Information:
I was born and raised in Green Bay Wi. Go Packers! I met my husband online in a chat room. I moved to Lansing Mi to be with him. We drove to Las Vegas two years ago and got married by Elvis! His job changed and I now live in Virginia! Wow what a beautiful state. We have so much around us, Ocean, Mountains and Washington D.C.


Other Information:
We love to travel and just have a good time. The last picture was taken at our company Christmas party. These are the great people I work with. As always the boss looks over my shoulder..lol.

    Glad your doing well! My sister lived in West Virgina for 15 years, went there do to a job transfer for her husband. I have made the trip many times and yes, I have been in Virgina also. Both states are beautiful, and I love going there and all the history. They moved bak to Michigan, amost two years ago, tranfer again, and left their grown children and small grandchildren behind. It was very hard on them, but now retired they can travel whenever weather permits. Well keep up the good work 1 pound down is great, if you haven't tried the food tracker its a neat tool to help you keep track of things, to see that your eatting healthy.     Wismich. I'm just wondering, with your name , are you from Michigan, I'am and I thought that if you were ,maybe we live close and could really help each other out! I'm Deb, fifty years old, and have RA sence I was 15 years old, I have two children and three grandchildren, and yes now is the time to get yourself in shape for those future grandkids, because when they come they open a whole new world for you, and you will be BUSY, I have a 71/2 yearold grandson, 61/2 year old grand daughter, and a 3 yar old granddaughter, and they think that Papa and Grammy are the best things on earth, and I did the same thing your doing now, I wanted to be in good health to have good times with them, and I have to say your in the right spot!! I have been on the road to weight loss for six years now, lost 108 pounds and two years ago I lost my Mon, and well I gained 42 pound back, so on Jan 1st I decided to get my butt in gear and get this weight off, than my daughter told me about sparkpeople and here I am. my first week here I lost 2 pounds, but sence JAn.1st I've lost 10 pounds, I've had to really work hard, I'm on my treadmill for 90 mins a day and three days I use some free weights. As we get older it gets a little harder, the weight seems to come off slower, but we can do it, and I'm here to give you all the support I can! so have a great day! and I'm going to put you on my friends list!
