Okay, I have let the pounds creep up and now here Ii am shopping for a MOB dress for my daughter's wedding. I am not happy about dress shopping because I have put on weight and do not like the way I look. My daughter's wedding is in February, so while there may not be time for miracles, there is time to do something. I want to be happy with the way I look as I watch my daughter marry the man she loves.

Update 10/26/12
Time flies when you are having fun. I actually had two daughters get married within about 18 months. I followed Spark pretty faithfully and did get down to 144 which is a good weight for me.

Fast forward two years and I have put the weight I lost back on and a few more. My girls are both happily married now and we are waiting for two babies! I want to get back down to where I was at the girls' weddings. Getting dressed was so much more fun when I could wear all of the clothes in my closet. I am going to make another run at it again.

Looks like you are gaining control of the weight issues...
    Fabulous!
I liked your message about being 'toned' not just skinny...
I am taking that to heart.

    Hi WiseGirl,

Getting ready for the wedding is a great reason to start on the weight loss track. Good luck! I had to find a MOG dress 18 months ago that was larger than I wanted. It was part of my reason for starting Spark when I finally found it a year later. Now, when my next son gets married I'll be able to wear anything I want, without worrying about how chubby I look! (Since he isn't dating seriously right now, who knows when his wedding will be!)

You'll be busy these next few months, but I encourage you to take the time to track your calories. That is a huge key to many people's success. It sure was mine!

I see your goal of reaching the 120s. That was mine, too. I am now a team leader in "Living in 120-ville." We'd love to have you join us!

I read your thread and was impressed that you were able to be completely honest. I believe you can stick to this. Your daughters wedding may be the extra motivatiuon that you need. Hang in there..The scales will go down in a few days. If they went down only one pound you might be discouraged; but, when they go down 2 or more pounds you'll see that it was well worth it.

read on the thread about getting back on the wagon that you had one day of staying in calories!! IT IS NOT A SMALL THING!! that is a great accomplishment because being healthy is tough work but well worth it and the seemingly impossible goals are met by meeting "little" goals. So congratulations!! I wish you continued success on your journey toward a healthier you.
