Hi everyone, I've missed you but it's been a long old haul this past year and figure it's time I kick my own butt and get er done! Last time I was here I had just finished pulling a groin muscle and was hurting, it all went downhill from there. I couldn't do any walking so started packing on the pounds even though I also cut back on my eating. I was hoping that with time it would heal but it still twinges now and then and drops me to my knees and I have to start all over again. I had a pretty nasty fall back in October just when I was getting around and out walking with Dave again. I've got to wear a knee brace for another six months to a year cause I tore ligaments and tendons in my knee...once again not walking, just gaining. The I got my gall bladder out which had been bothering me for some time. 12 days later I was having trouble breathing and had the worst hiccups that just wouldn't go away, turns out I had a blood clot in my lungs and spent 7 days in the hospital trying to thin my blood. Now I'm on warfarin for at least a year or maybe a lifetime. Had terrible fatigue with this happening and have been battling that too. Now I've been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia...more fun and games! My doctor wants me to try another pill to combat the exhaustion and pain but I'm hesitant to do it. I'd like to overcome this on my own but it's a rough road. So far my hubby's been pretty patient but who knows what the future holds. Poor old Dave is getting older, he's about 15 or 16 now and after walks he just collapses and sleeps and he's worn out after a short walk. But he still loves to play and hump the couch so he's not done yet! When we go out for walks we just take our time and meander, it's not like we can hurry any more and he still loves to head to the River for a swim, even in ice cold water! We don't go too far on our walks cause both cats think they should go with us...they don't understand the road rules so we stick within our block but they sure enjoy going with us. I did have something awesome happen this past October though, My granddaughters mother let her come for a visit and then when she got here we got to keep her for two weeks longer and we had a blast. She really didn't want to leave and it broke our hearts but her mother is willing to let her come for more visits and may even let her come to school here for a year when she gets older. She's going to be 8 soon and while she was here we took her to the amusement park in Moncton and I really wanted to go on the rides with her but being to heavy for most of them really upset me so I promised I'd try to lose weight so I could go on the rides with her. I did take her swimming and we did do other activities and visited many parks and zoos and museums and her daddy spent lots of time with her rock climbing and at the gym. She is a active little girl and I just want to be able to keep up a little bit with her for her next visit. That's my new goal, to get more physically fit. To work out despite the pain and screaming muscles and joints and to get smaller. I know that being here will help me do that, I've missed all my friends on line with Sparks and can't wait to get moving again! Hopefully the snow we got for Easter will melt tonight and I will get out and walk tomorrow! Glad to be back and really glad to see my old friends are still here. Love you all.

My Goals:
my new goal is just to lose some weight, as of April 4 2012 I weighed in at 303 lbs, my goal is to get below that from now on and keep losing!

My Program:
I am Walking, walking and more walking....as much as Dave will do with me, and then some days when I'm feeling strong, I'll sneak out without him and walk some more.

Personal Information:
I am Canadian and live in New Brunswick, I have been a member of Tops off and on since Sept 27th 20000. I originally weighted in at 331.5 lbs and am back again and now losing....yeahhh. I have some health issues that hinder weight loss but i'm trying not to let them get in the way. I have fibromyalgia and it's getting more difficult to exercise cause everything spasms and hurts later but I'm still doing it. Painkillers make me retain fluid so trying not to take any if I can do it.

Other Information:
If I want something to Change, I have to Change Something.
