Where does the time go? You look back and you're not 21 any more. And you don't do so many of the things you use to do and love. A couple a pounds a year adds up to lifetime of neglect.

I love the outdoors and being active. Or at least I use to. Now its so hard because of the shape I am in. I want to experience that joy I use to get by climbing to the top of a mountain to see the sunrise or the beauty and quiet of a fresh snowfall while cross country skiing.

I've almost forgotten what I'm missing. But since the recent passing of my mom I realized how short and precious life can be. I don't want to have any regrets. I want to enjoy life to the fullest for myself and for my son.

I've tried and failed before, but you never really fail until you stop trying. And hopefully this site will help to give me the consistency I need along with the support and guidance to achieve my goals.

My long term goal is to lose 50-60 pounds, but I know the battle must take place every day. I want to permanently change my lifestyle and my life.

If you are near me and enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking, skiing, and just being outside let me know. It always helps to have a real person to work with towards your goals and to just talk.

You never really fail until you stop trying.........
