Yes, another year 2020 come and gone, Good and bad memories. I wish like everyone else that the Virus was gone, but looks like it is mutating so will be here more longer than anyone expected. Old Solomon was right when he said there is nothing new under the Sun.

We just have to have Faith that things will improve. Many friends and family have had family loss. We all wonder what God has in his plan for us.

We just learned last night wonderful news that August 2021. We will become Great Grandparents again, to another New Great Grandson. It will be time for another Celebration for our small family to Grow,

Well with the New Year of 2020, After yesterday, I am now the big 80...Oh my, I just don't know where our time has gone. I suppose that is why we should live each day of our lives to the fullest, and to enjoy everyday as it is our last. That also goes for the exercise that we do and all of our activities. I'm loved by so many family and friends and still find life as exciting and interesting as it has always been for me.

Many people and Spark Friends have asked me how I keep my motivation going so strong. I just say, I have a fun time and love all the challenges that come to me daily.

My husband has health problems as well as dementia, and will probably stop driving in March, so my largest challenge with him is how will I handle such a problem. My daughter that has down syndrome is going through monthly pms. with lots of mood swings. She just turned 41 years last month. I am blessed with my older daughter that I can always rely on for any help. When I am so stressed out she always comes to my aid and help. She also can drive our large van which I haven't driven. I love my little Plymouth Neon.

I still control my weight and gained after last night birthday party a 134 pounds so I will work extra hard to shed back to my normal 128 lb. I feel health and a comfortable at that weigh for my height..

Thank you for all your great messages about my new great grandson. He was born on 23 of Dec. Such a joy for our family. I've got lots to learn as I had 5 girls, so this is all new for me with a boy in our family.

This is 2019, Time for some new Goals, As I age, this year I turn 79, I'm still trying to keep my body healthy, moving and full of energy. I suppose this time next year I will be looking for some new teams for people age 80's. I haven't looked so hope there are some good teams.
I really hate to be labeled and old person but I am. I know I have some new wrinkles on my face since our last year, and now almost all grey hair, but I sure don't want to be slow in movement, like most people, at my age..

I know with time my body will slow down with aches and pains from other small problems, as I'm sure it will, but I'm not ready for that yet. I will keep it moving, and trying to be strong, as long as I can. When I do start that, I guess I will just have to put up with that label that I get.

I'm going to the Gym through my Health Insurance Co. Kaiser, using "Silver and Fit".They sent me a nice Base Ball Cap, a couple years ago, and am receiving some very nice "Silver and Fit Pins" now I've received seven pins for my cap. There are copies of them in my Photos Page.

Thanks to you all that send me encouraging messages. I wish you well and hope that you all reach your goals, that you have set for yourself this year.

Sparks always has some interesting suggestion and articles with different Helps and Aids. I love to follow their exercise plans that they offer. The exercise Videos are great to use. Checked them out if you haven't already. I have been taking some of the Spark Challenges, each one is a real challenge, They are really helpful.

If you are truly working the Sparks Program, I would love to have you as a friend and Love to hear how you are doing on reaching your goals. I hope you will send me a note.

My Goals:
Jan-May 2019, My weight is 127 Pounds, still maintaining although 2 pounds heavier than in 2017 only 1 pound since 2008....

I'm at 125 pounds on October 5, 2017 and am trying to Maintain around that weight for this new year..
My BMI is :
25.6 (1-15-12)
25.0-29.9 (is overweight)
Goal Weight:

128 to 130

its been 9 years now since I joined Spark People on Jan.20, 2008. The following is how I lost weight before I went to my 50 High School Reunion in Fort Worth Texas. I was exactly the same weight on 3/24/2008....

My Program:

I've started going to the Gym again since the old one closed, I do 2 days of Strength exercise with weights and 3 days of Cardio a week. I walk at least 35 minutes a day on the treadmill & recumbent bicycle.

I Try to do the eating plan that I have in my program counting calories, with a balance of 5 Fruit, Veg. and Protein. Drink my Water 8 or 9 - 8 oz. a day.

Born Jan. 8th, 1940

I am a Texas girl, from deep in the heart of Texas, living in Calif.

We came to California in 1965, We now live just outside of Sacramento, Ca.
I've been married this year celebrating our 62 years. We had 5 daughters, youngest is 41 year old, with Down's syndrome she still lives at home.. My oldest daughter, lives close-by, and my only grand daughter lived in a closeby town and is married. Her husband has one son age 9. We love to see her more often. They were married in November 2017.

In March 1977 we had a house fire and at that time 3 or my 4 daughters died, Bonnie, Tammy and Marilu. We are all Christians and we have faith, and plan to see our daughters again in Heaven, as well as all of our ancestors and those that have also trusted Christ as their savior. (John 3:16) In Dec 1978 my youngest daughter was born.

    Don't give into your temptations. They are bad and will set you back. You want to move forward, have good habits ( like eating your veggies, fruits) and come in here. We all are here for you and other members too.

Her name is 1hollywood Ha how cute huh! Well It looks like your doing good. I put on a pound yesterday but it will come off. I am not going to worry over it! Just following the baby steps here!
