I vowed after losing weight and gaining double back for the 3rd time in my 20/30s that I would never go on fad diet programs in order to lose weight again. For me, as a sugar addict with a serious lazy bone, sticking with eating healthy & exercising has proven to be as much of a yo yo proposition as "dieting" over the past 20 years. I've lost 25-50 lbs through healthy eating & exercise, only to gain it back when I got off track, multiple times over the years. I have never gone back to being as high in weight as I was though. There is a noticeable difference in my ability to reign it in before going above a certain point. Regardless, I want my son to see a Mom with a positive 'never give up' attitude in life. So I will keep kicking my lazy butt off the couch, and continue ridding my house of the addictive junk food and snacks that somehow worm their way back in. No matter how tough it is, I am committed to always finding my way back to the healthier choices. One hour, one day, one month at a time.

My Goals:
I gave up Diet Sodas a few years ago, and no longer care about them. That was a really big step for me at the time. Next step is to do the same thing with high fat/high sugar junk food. Give it up for healthy choices. I want to fit comfortably in that airplane seat again, and those plastic chairs. I don't want people to see just an overweight person when they look at me. I want them to see a person who is comfortable with her body, and one that has a positive attitude towards life.

My Program:
I'm working out with a strength and fitness trainer 3x per week, which has really helped me to shake my lazy butt attitude. Having that appt. was the only way I would have gotten started again. The other days, for at least 2-3 of them, I go bike riding, or walking/treadmill, punchbag/speedbag, or just do activities that keep me moving.

Personal Information:
Married 26 years. My son is 12 yrs old. Live in Texas and really don't like the hot summers...would rather be indoors than in the heat. I have had my own business since 1996. Worked from home for 12 years, and wasn't good at taking care of myself first, instead of my work. This year I opened an office location, and try to keep regular business hours, and only healthy snacks in the office.

Other Information:
"Fight songs" or music that makes you want to dance, really do help on those days when you don't feel like moving.
