True, it's cliche. I'm a fast food junkie and pretty much everybody knows it. I could devour a 10-piece nugget meal WITH FRIES seven days a week if I didn't have that one shred of guilt in the back of my mind. I just like the stuff, and I swear they put something similar to crack in their food because it's addictive.

Anyway. This isn't the first time I've used SparkPeople. I've tried other sites too, like Weight Watchers and the Daily Plate. I keep coming back here because it's free and sometimes fun to use. The problem is I usually hit a plateau and nothing can get me over it. There aren't enough motivational stories or articles in the world to get me over the hump.

I think like most people I get really excited when I lose 10lbs right away, and even after I increase exercise I get dissapointed when I can't get below the 170lbs mark. I don't know what it is.

And this time around I'm not going for it all in one huge goal. Apparently my suggested goal weight is 137lbs. Please. I haven't been 137lbs since before high school and before I stopped growing vertically. And then ever since I stopped growing vertically I just grow horizontally. Calories have to go somewhere right?

I'm kind of lazy. Ok, really lazy. But achieving the "Free-Step" level on the Wii Fit has really helped because I'm also a TV junkie. So now I can atleast step and watch TV at the same time. I even add in weights for a 2fer. I do like walking, but I live on a street that is kind of a main drag and doesn't have a sidewalk. Which wouldn't be that big of a deal if I didn't have a dog to walk (we play fetch in the yard instead. If only I could train her to throw....).

I'm really lazy when it comes to cooking (obviously). It's hard to cook for two, sometimes one person and my roommate/boyfriend doesn't really care about losing weight (although he could stand to lose some with me). But of course when he does want to lose weight he loses it way faster than I do.

Also, eating healthy is expensive and I have severely reduced hours at work right now because I work in a seasonal position, even though they are trying desparately to keep me and give me a couple of days a week. Fruits and veggies are so dang expensive.

I’ve belonged to a lot of teams here on spark-- i really do believe that the Emotional Eaters team is one of the very best, it’s a great group of people- very supportive and encouraging-- and it is very refreshing to talk with people who "get" what you're going through!! ¸¸.•¨¸♥¨`*,¸.•*´¨`*• .¸♥.*¸.•´¸.•*¨¸.•*¨¸.•´¸.•*¨) ¸.•*¨)
Check out the main page of the EE team- there are “stickied” topics you may be interested in to get involved- a buddy thread, a place to introduce yourself, weigh-in challenge, a birthday post. ¸.•*¨¸.•´¸.•*¨(¸.•´ (¸.•´ (¸.•´¸¸.•¨¸♥¨`*,¸.•*´¨`*• .¸♥. ¸.•♥´ .•´¨¨ ¸´¸.•´¸.•*¨)¸¸.•´ ..•-~'¸.•*¨)
Spark has a lot of great tools, and you will learn which ones work best for you. The best tools are the people tho, always willing to lend a hand, an ear, or a shoulder. I’ve been here for over a year now, and I still am overwhelmed, every day, by the kindness and goodness of others on this team!! That has made a world of difference for me. I hope you have the same success! ¸¸.•¨¸♥¨`*,¸.•*´¨`*• .¸♥.*.•*¨¸.•´¸.•*
