    Thanks for reading!!! It's tough adjusting to retirement, I imagine. One thing you can do to get those afternoons in "your pocket," is plan out your lunch and afternoon snacks in the morning while you're strong. Fix them and keep them in the frig. Plan afternoon outings and take your "already prepared" snacks with you. You can even plan your dinners in the morning so that when you return, there won't be any emotional thinking about it...it will be there, already planned out. Hope that helps a bit!     Thanks for your comment -- yes, we all yo-yo, wish there was some way around it, but if there is, I haven't figured it out yet. I realize most of the time it is due to indulging in some "favorite" that is not allowed on our menu, but that's how it goes -- we have to enjoy life a little bit, don't we?
