Hello! Thank you for visiting my spark page. I have been sparking seriously for just over a year now and love this site as a weight loss tool, but even more as a way of learning how different people handle different situations that usually we all run into at one time or another.

I have lost 50 lbs since last year, started running and joined challenges that have helped me learn so much. I would never have come as far as I have or believed I could run, but reading others blogs and visiting message boards let me know I could do it. I have a long ways to go in terms of learning to live a healthy lifestyle but am enjoying it. I have been plateaued since last October but reading everyone's blogs and spark pages keeps me going. But mainly, I think its the 5% challenges that really help me to keep coming back. I love the fact that they help me to have something to focus on each week and I continue to use the things we do on a regular basis.

Fitness Minutes: 19,595

My Goals:
1. Drink 64 oz of water daily
2. Walk 3 days a week
3.Be able to run 5K
4.figure out a "healthy" balance of carbs/protein/fat
for my body

My Program:
I am not really following a specific program right now. I monitor to keep my food intake in ranges except for high calorie days when I am calorie cycling. I run 2-3 times a week, take zumba and step aerobic classes and do the Firm and Turbo Jam videos at home. During the summer months I add bike rides as well.

Personal Information:
I am a 39 year old mother of two, married to the love of my life, Don for almost 12 years. I enjoy camping, four wheeling, spending time at the lake, traveling, date nights in the city, reading, spending time with my family.

Other Information:
I love to read just about anything I can learn from but then you will find me reading Nicolas Sparks books that I dont really learn from but just enjoy reading.
