Hello, my name is Trudy. I live in north eastern Michigan with my cat "J". Here is a picture of my family when we started our journey as the three amegos. As you can tell our family has grown a litte .
I have been heavy for a while, and in denial for a longer while. I hate walking by mirrors and seeing my reflection and wondering who is that person, then realizing it is ME.
I can not understand how I let myself go like this, and am anxious and excited to see every pound leave.
To update my introduction ...I am so happy to tell you that almost 65 pounds have left!!! I now walk by mirrors and in amazement take a peak at that reflection and wonder if this person is really me. I am very happy but know I have another 10 pounds to go and need to keep focused on that. With the support of many here at Spark people, I am confident that it will come off. I want to tell all my spark friends and supporters a heart felt thank you for getting me to this point on my journey. The old saying IF I CAN DO IT, ANYBODY CAN DO IT...rings true in my ear..keep focused, keep positive, support and you will be when your hungry, but eat responsibly, and eat small portions....remember exercise means to move...move all you can...and do drink that water...good luck to reach your goal, together we can do this.

Another update: On June 26th, 2009 I officially reached a weight loss of 70 pounds!!! Thanks again to Spark People and the wonderful people I have met along my journey of now a million steps. Please read my June 27th blog for all the details of my journey and what I have learned along the way.

Fitness Minutes: 36,651

My Goals:
I need to loose these pounds because my health depends upon it. I have very low self confidence and I am hoping this will change with my weight loss.

My Program:
I have thrown away anything in my fridge or pantry that is high in fat and or calories and replaced it with low fat low calorie items. I watch fat grams and high sugar items as they are a trigger item to me. I avoid comfort foods and trying my hardest not to eat before I go to bed.
When I started this journey, I took Alli and lost about 7 pounds in two months, then I switched and took a detox pill and then found the idiot diet on a Spark People ad.
You choose 30 foods you like from a list of 46. Then they generate a diet of these foods for you. This program motivates your matabulisum by eating the right combination of foods. Mostly not eating starches with proteins..but one meal may be all protein, the next carbs...the next fats...but the food your eating are things you like, so it is a very easy eat every 2 to 2 and a half hours, only till your full not stuffed and you drink 8 cups of water a day and walk at least 45 minutes a day...that's do it for

My name is Trudy..I live in northern Michigan ..I am a CNA or a nurses aide at a assisted living faucility...I want to start my own business doing a lot of the same thing I do on my job, only I will be getting the money instead of the owners of the faucility.

Other Information:
My father used to say the hardest part of any journey is the first step...we have taken that first step when we joined Spark People I guess then we are a step ahead of our self on this journey of ours.
