I actually made an apple pie bowl and it was DELICIOUS! This is where I got the recipe from. http://www.freecoconutrecipes.com/index.cf m/2013/7/1/apple-pie-bowl The only modification I made was instead of Granny Smith apple I used Fuji and a little less salt. This was almost like a healthy indulgence haha. My boys ended up loving it too!
I'm loving carb cycling right now! I love it cause it's not super duper strict (well, the plan I'm doing is semi strict) and I get one cheat day a week! I used to fail miserably on all the other plans cause it requires you to be "good" until you're at your goal. However, what if I don't reach my goal for months?! That means I have to be "good" for that long! Yeah, that never happened... Slingshot week is a week full of high carbs instead of cycling through low and high carbs. Chris Powell's explanation on this is to prevent your body from catching on to your program so that you never plateau. This program might be something you may want to look into cause like I said, it's not super strict, you still get one cheat day (one plan let's you do 3 cheat meals a week rather than one cheat day if that works better for you) and you'll still see results.
