Fitness Minutes: 15,461

My Goals:
I had gestational diabetes with all 3 of my children. I am hoping to lose the extra weight I've been carrying around for far too long and push off getting diabetes for quite awhile.

My Program:
 I have added more fruits and vegetables to my diet. I have pretty much cut out all fried foods and sweets. My new year's resolution is to eat fish at least 2 times a week. I need to work on exercising more.


Personal Information:
I live in PA. I am married with 3 sons. My husband and I own a restaurant and I teach Family and Consumer Science at a high school.

    Your "sparkmate" comment made me smile. Younger and skinnier? I'll take both for now, but I am pretty sure you are going to make we work hard to keep that second title. emoticon

    Your kids sound amazing. I really like it when parents can feel such pride in their offspring. Man, it is HARD being a mama, and some days are just stinky, but when there is that overriding love, it does something special to a person, and I can see it in your words.

    So cool that you are a teacher too. I never thought I wanted to be one, but the first day I did it (I fell into it in grad school) I ran home and told my husband that I knew what I wanted to be when I grew up! Addictive, wonderful, and meaningful work. Love it!
