I'm a mother of three and still trying to get back in shape. My kids don't live with me, but it only makes me stronger. If I can overcome things like that I can do anything. I've already dropped from a size 14 to a size 5 in 3 years by walking like crazy. Now I'm stuck. I'm happy with my weight just want my stomach flat again. I blame my stomach bulge on the soda, sugary foods, and don't forget the carbs. I was drinking 4 cans of Mountain Dew a day. That is 500 calories in itself! Then I found Spark People thanks to my best friend. Now seeing me with a Mountain Dew is rare. If I do have one its limited. Usually if I crave a soda I'll opp for a diet cherry 7up with antioxidants. I now eat my fruits and vegetables and get 8 glasses of water a day. I don't want people to think I've always been skinny. People think that, but no and finally added pics to show the facts. The journey has been great so far with Spark People and I look forward to the road ahead. (update) I no longer count my calories. I'm down to 111.2. I walk every day at work and some days to work. I have turned into eating only veggies, grains, beans, and unfortunately my sodas. I eat as much as I want, but of course there are far less calories now and I have to eat more often usually. I will say when I wasn't drinking my soda, I felt amazing! I Make my own food most of the time and when I get lazy I get morning star burgers without meat, eggs, and milk. I think it has helped. I finally got to run a 5k, which was one of my goals last year to do. Late is better then never! I ended up coming in at 419th place. I made it in just over 31 minutes. I'm pretty happy with that number for my first run. And YES I did run the whole way! 3.1 miles couldn't stop me! :D ...... This was me years ago. I'm back up to 132 and starting over!
