I just realized that I really can''t say "recently married" since DH and I are going on 5 years of marriage. Mom to 3 (current DS23, DS13 and DD11). I currently work as a document drafter for a law firm, and have a paralegal degree...so there''s a lot of sitting. We have a fridge/freezer at the office so I have Green Giant veggies in there and am able to keep some applesauce, etc. in the kitchen to help me stay on track. I am happy to say that I am no longer addicted to the soft drinks the way I was before. I do occasionally allow myself to have one, but no longer feel like I HAVE to have a soda everyday, that''s an awesome feeling. I am one of the co-organizers for Conquer Chiari Across America for the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. We are hoping to raise funds for research and increase awareness of Chiari and it''s sister diseases.

My Goals:
Ultimately to get down to a healthier weight.

Workout or be active, even if it is in 10 minute increments.

Eat those freggies! :-)

My husband and I enjoyed the mountains on our honeymoon...but at one point, he had to get behind me and push me up the mountain. While I appreciate the fact that he loves me enough to do that, I want to be able to climb that mountain myself without the extra push.

My Program:
Following the Weight Watchers program and focusing on eating more unprocessed foods. It is amazing how much better you feel!

Personal Information:
My name is Tracey. I am from Texas, currently living in the D/FW Metroplex.

Other Information:
I am *anything* but ordinary! I love to read and have multiple books that I am in the middle of!

A Prayer For Weight Loss By Lynn
Father God, I come to you in the precious name of Jesus that you will perform a miraculous healing in my life concerning my desire to lose weight. Thank you Lord that nothing is impossible with you and that you can help take away my desire to overeat and fill the voids within me that cause me to seek food as a substitute.
Lord, touch my mind right now, help me to see what causes me to overeat, give me a strong desire to want to take care of my body and see it as you do Lord. Help me to make the right food choices and touch my mind with creativity concerning food and what I eat. May I be restored to divine health again.
As I strive to do this Lord, please bless all within me - my cells, and my metabolism - that they will function properly so I can lose the weight. And let me take it one day at a time and not worry about anything else but the cares of the day that I woke up to.
Thank you Father for loving me enough to help me through this.

    The Commandments in a Nutshell
    1. Strategy is stronger than willpower.
    2. Think historically, not just "calorically."
    3. The problem may be in the food, not you.
    4. Structure gives control.
    5. Separate mood from food.
    6. Take control of your favorite foods.
    7. Slips should teach you, not defeat you.
    8. Stop feeling deprived.
    9. Treat your calories like dollars.
    10. Losing weight is half the job. Keeping if off is the other half.

    Believe in yourself!

Believe you were made to do any task without calling for aid.

Believe, without growing too scornfully proud,
that you, as the greatest and least are endowed.

A mind to do thinking, two hands and two eyes
are all the equipment God gives to the wise.

    Believe in yourself!

You are divinely designed and perfectly made
    for the work of mankind.

    The truth you must cling to through danger and pain;
the heights others have reached you can also attain.

Believe to the very last hour, for it is true.
That what ever you will, you've been gifted to do.

Believe in yourself and step out unafraid.

By misgivings and doubt be not easily swayed.

    You've the right to succeed;
the precision of skill which betokens the great
you can earn if you will!

The wisdom of the ages is yours if you'll read.

But you've got to believe in yourself to succeed.
