Hi, I'm Teri. I have been working on my weight issues for pretty much my entire life. I've been a member here since 2006. While I'm not a great advertisement for success I think I am for persistence. I'm back this time because my last eye appointment was beyond scary as my diabetes has begun to impact my vision apparently...I started "eating better" then but decided over the weekend (5/26/2018) to start tracking here again as part of that. I am currently at 236 up from my lowest of 225 but well below the 289 I was when I first started here 12 years ago. I'm trying to lose about 40 pounds and get to "ONEderland" and see what impact if any that would have on my current health situation.

Fitness Minutes: 4,062

My Goals:
To maintain a blood sugar within the normal range via medication compliance and healthy habits. To increase daily activity to 30 minutes per day at least 5 days per week.


My Program:
I'm following an ADA gluten-free diet. I am moving from a sedentary lifestyle toward a more active lifestyle via small changes: Taking the stairs at work, walking on breaks, resuming my belly dance practice, skating at least one hour a week.



Personal Information:
Each year rather than make resolutions, I pick a word to be my theme or the year. For this, my 50th year, I picked the word "Flourish" - noun: A condition or period of thriving, verb: To grow luxuriantly, to be in one's prime, to be successful/prosper. 50 is my year to flourish.
