It has been a long time since I have been as truly motivated as I currently am. I got some bad news about my health which forced me to start to focus on how to fix it. One step at a time with the first step being to get back to healthy. Only after that will I focus on working out again. With everything that has happened and with COVID out there, I am mostly quarantined which makes everything actually harder. But baby steps.

Original Intro - 2/2009 - Starting Weight: 150lbs - I guess I am...doing this because I don't feel good about myself anymore when I look in the mirror or when I try on clothes. But at the same time I just have a hard time staying away from things I love which are alcohol and fast food. Grrr, LOL.

I've come a long way with my healthy eating, I like to think. I still make bad decisions depending on the type of day I've had and I naturally keep lower fat things in the house to use like fat free cheese and 1% milk. But now it's become second nature to choose those items when I shop and to look at labels so I'm fairly happy that it's getting switched up.

Alcohol and fast food are still my vices and still mess me up but it's a daily thing. Either I do or I don't. If I do, I don't look back angrily at myself. I just promise to do better the next day.

3/10 - Those Happy Jeans of mine are getting looser and looser! They're still a bit tight when I sit (I always bunch up, lol!) but when I stand and walk around in them they're actually very loose around the waist! I feel thin!! 140 is no longer my comfortable weight! I'm down to 134 (a little less actually but who cares!) and I'm able to maintain it happily!

7/10 - Ok currently at 128.8. Haven't weighed in this last week but have been keeping up and trying to get it all back together after my move to a new apt. I see muscles in my arms and feel stronger and lighter. PLUS, I redid my goals and changed up my workout amount. I have 9 lbs to lose to reach my current goal weight of 120 lbs by my 30th birthday on October 24th. I think I can do it. What do you guys think?? :) New goals, new nutrition amount, new calorie burn number. I'm ready to do it!

10/10 - I've hit GOAL! Woohoo! Now it's all about maintaining, baby! And just in time for the birthday party too, HELL YEAH!

3/11 - Still maintaining, holding between 120 and 123lbs. Aiming for a vanity goal of 115! I figured out what I need to do to keep up the motivation. Or what works for me, rather. I need something every season to aim for. This coming spring season, I'm aiming for my bikini body for Memorial Day along with keeping "score" on my sparkteams. The two pics in my photo gallery are bikinis I'm aiming to wear (and hopefully look good in). Somewhere along the way, the whole process went from losing weight to getting healthy and toned. So watch out, beachbunnies! I'm coming for ya!

5/11 - Oh, I'm totally going to bust my butt to get ready for summer in these last few weeks. My motivation is here and nagging at me and now all I wanna do is work out non-stop to be ready for when those bikinis come in (Yes, I ordered them already, OMG)! I don't plan on spending one lovely, sunny summer day indoors! I'm going to the beach, to the movies, to bbqs, restaurants and for long walks with the bf any chance I get! Woohoo, let's go Summer!

6/11 - SUMMER IS HERE! I'm still at my usual weight (can not budge from this 122!!) but I've been sticking closely to working out and calorie and nutrition and I am beginning to see more definition in my arms. YAY! It's not about that number on the scale, folks! It's about getting healthy and fit! Let's do it!

8/11 - Fall is just around the corner and I'm already in the mindset for it! Hoping that dressing up my page with Fall colors and icons will motivate me to keep on! Am at my goal weight of 120lbs, still aiming for the vanity goal!

10/11 - So October is here which means Autumn should be in full swing. Still a bit warm for my liking especially during the Autumn months but I can see that it will gradually get dark. This month marks a year of maintenance at my goal weight!

12/16 - Next week is Christmas and while everything has been up and down, my head is on straight. Gotta keep on keeping on for Christmas and then break into the New Year on a high note!

1/12 - New Year is here! Let's get it right together!

4/12 - April is almost over which means we're that much closer to Summer 2012! I can't wait! Still going strong with my workouts (currently in Month 2 of Insanity!) and my nutrition is slowly getting back to normal so hopefully by the end of May/beginning of June, I'll be super proud of my Summer body!

1/13 - So I've regained about ten pounds (which might not seem like much to some people but when I'm 5 pounds away from being overweight in the BMI numbers, that's bad). I know what I've been doing wrong and I know exactly what to blame it on that started the domino effect but I'm trying to put a stop to it here and now. I need to get ready for Bikini season plus so many things along the way, parties and get togethers and holidays so let's just frikkin' DO it already! No, I'm not a Nike spokesperson. But I wear their sneakers. :D Rock on, Sparkers!

4/13 - So I'm motivated and fixated which is exactly how I was the last time I hit goal weight. It's totally gonna happen people, I feel it. Memorial Day is a month away and I need to lose 10 lbs by then for a Challenge and this is NO JOKE. I'm totally doing this the right way and I'm thrilled! I'm tracking every bite as well as I can (plus sharing it with all of Spark to keep me accountable!) and I'm working out almost daily plus staying active throughout the day at work. It's a bit harder now because of my back pain but once I'm through with the initial pain and stretch, I am GOOD TO GO! So let's go, Summer! Show me what you got!

1/14 - OMG the new year is here. Where did 2013 go? And was it awesome?? Why can't I remember?!? LOL. Well 2014 is going to be awesome, pinkie promise! Got my resolutions ready to go and am already sticking by them. Woohoo! Let's rock the new year!!

4/14 - Still here, still with the daily struggle but so far things are actually looking up! I've been getting more fitness in, more nutrition foods, a LOT less alcohol and to top it all off, I'm feeling a bit better at work! I'm not letting it affect me as much so while it's an uphill battle, I'm definitely scaling the mountain now instead of crawling! So here's to the approaching Summer and the enjoyment of Spring which is here at last! Spark on!

11/14 - Haven't had enough time to make proper page changes, have to head into work soon but will try to do it while working in a little bit!

12/14 - Just reset my entire account and starting from scratch! Lets do it!

1/16 - I'm hoping to be able to get back to healthy this year.

5/16 - Almost half a year now and only now getting my motivation back. Better late than never!

2017 - I'm hoping this year will be healthier than the last! I think I managed to avoid surgery on my knee by the grace of God but that just means I need to be healthier and get into better shape so here's to hoping that it works out!

My Goals:
1) Hit my goal weight again! Healthy is beautiful but strong is sexy!

2) Keep on learning to cook new dishes. I have a few of them now that I keep as go-to recipes for when I need to de-stress or just reboot to healthy eating. But I'm beginning to seriously love making new things and figuring it all out. I also want to start growing some herbs (mostly basil and cilantro) so when I get a chance to do that, I might be cooking even more!

My Program:
Currently stalled due to a bad knee. Am aiming for a lighter but still consistent workout schedule and regimen.

Cardio - 30 minutes, three times a week a day.

Strength Training - Three times a week.

Nutrition - 1200 - 1550 calories a day for the loss. Possibly 1800 to maintain.

Personal Information:
I am a 36 year old Brooklynite and have lived in New York most of my life. I started off this weight loss journey at 150lbs on my 5'2" frame five years ago and hit goal weight October 2010 just in time for my 30th birthday. However, stress at work has brought the weight back on so I do need to lose weight again. But it's a daily/life struggle so all I can do is try my best!

Other Information:
I love to write (mostly fanfiction, lol), read, draw and listen to music, usually alternative but I'll listen to just about anything.

Current Playlist: Stuff - songs that I've discovered recently that don't really have any particular theme or genre in common but still cheer me up daily.

Also love to websurf and blog. And I LOVE to make friends. I have a sarcastic/borderline-gutter sense of humor, lol!

I tend to look at and switch out icons/profile pics to suit my moods. Usually I look at them to cheer me up. So don't be surprised if you see me constantly changing pics. I'm also a Summer/Autumn person so during that time of year I might be hyper. Daily. You'll get used to me. The Dunkin Donuts Turbo shots are also to blame.
