Sadly, when I last posted here, I was near my goal weight. I stayed there for nearly four years. Then a baby, a death in the family, and my mother having lung cancer, pushed healthy eating and exercise way down on the priority list.

And I'll admit, eating was a way to deal with all the emotions death and serious illness brought up. My mother's in remission, and the estate battle of my relative finally ended. So I'm ready to focus on me again and becoming healthy. I miss exercise, running, and feeling great.

My Goals:
In May, I decided that I wanted to be the person I used to be (but better). Until I was 25, I relied on being young and active to be THIN. My goal now is to be FIT and healthy now and in the future..


My Program:
I started on the HMR weight management program -- which is bascially 800 - 1000 calories per day food consumption and 300 calories cardio. Because I don''t eat processed food regularly, I gave up the program after three weeks (12 pounds in), but the regimen was sound so I stick to the calorie ranges and exercise. And it''s worked. I''m 45 pounds lighter. Also, I religiously drinking at least 8 glasses of water, and count every calorie that I eat -- which is where SP helps tremendously.

Other Information:
My best advice to anyone who asks me how I've done it is to say -- daily exercise makes all the difference. Also, I highly recommend Eating Well magazine -- and with some reservations, Cooking Light. I think it''s best to eat whole, home cooked foods and these mags have some great low calorie options.

    Congrats on this weight lose. I would like to know more about the HMR weight management program but I think 800-1000 cal is to low for me! I would like to stay in the 1200-1500 range. I know that water is the key but I would think you would be hungry w/such a low cal amt.
