So I am now re-doing my "about me" for the 3rd time but it is all positive!! I have not been on Spark People for about a year it seems but I am back and going to do my best to log in everyday and keep up with all of my wonderful friends. My name is Amanda and I am 24 yeard old from Maryland. I work full time as an HR/Payroll Manager and I am going back to college part time now to pursue my Business Administrative AS Degree! I am engaged to a wonderful man and we plan to marry either this September or next and we have a beautiful 2 year old little boy, Felix! He is my life and I cannot imagine not having him here with me. Before I had my son I always suffered with weight issues. Before I got pregmant I remember getting on the scale back in 2007 (I had my son in 2010) and I weighed then 208lbs which was my heaviest at that time. I gained about 40-45lbs with my son which took me up to 286lbs!! I could not believe it. 2 weeks after I had Felix I instantly lost 20lbs which took me down to 266lbs. When he was 3 months I decided to join Weight Watcher with my aunt and it was the best decision I had ever made regarding loosing weight. I have been on WW now since July 2010 and even though I have had to put my weight loss on pause (the loss of my father, certain family issues, personal things) I have kept on going and will keep on going. I started WW weighing 266lbs and as of yesterday (03/22/12) I now weigh 185.4lbs!! I feel AMAZING!! Weight loss is just now about learning healthy eating but also incorporating exercise. I know am doing the KettleWorx program and run. This is a lifestyle change and will stick with me forever! My goal weight is around 145-150lbs so I have about 35-40lbs to go but I have come this far, I know I can keep on going!!

I made my #1 goal a few months ago which was getting out of the 200's so now my main goal is to make it to my goal weight of 145-150lbs!!


My Program:
I joined Weight Watcher's July 29, 2010 and LOVE IT!!! I am working out with the KettleWorx program which involes cardio, resistance and core with other great workouts and I also love to run!

    I was browsing spark pages and came across yours, I noticed your beautiful little boy has the same b-day as my late fathers. I thought that was sweet. I do miss him!!
    Anyway, keep up the good work!! you look great!!

    ps: your dad's b-day is the same as my sisters who has also passed
    I am sure your dad would of loved to see your little one grow up My dad died when I was 17 He never got to meet my kids :(

    Amanda!!! Omg HUGE emoticon on the 50 lb loss!! Girl once you found your groove, you never looked back! You're doing so amazing..I'm always so so SO proud of you!! emoticon

    I've been doing pretty good. Just kind of coasting by maintaining. I feel like my energy is zapped most days but I really do believe that's because I haven't been working out enough. Whenever I get into one of my exercise slumps, my energy goes right out the window. I need to get back on track with working out and am going to try to do what you do which is working out most mornings! When I used to work out first thing in the morning it really did boost my energy throughout the day and also helped set the tone in general for the rest of the day. I've been going for walks with my pup after dinner most nights but I'm in serious need of some good heart pumping, muscle building workouts! Summers around the corner so I'd like to tone things up a bit before then!

    Anyway I'm so happy things are going so well with you and hope all is well with your little man too! :-) Keep on keepin on and have a great week!
