Introduction Text I am a chicken farmer on the Nature Island of Dominica, & I started SP in April aiming to lose 15lbs. I lost that & a bit more, & now want to lose another 5 - I am so close to my best weight ever it seems a shame not to go for it. The SP tools have been a huge help, this time I have been able to pick myself up & carry on after every slip, because the message boards are inspirational, & I was lucky to find a buddy who has been just terrific, challenging, encouraging - I could never have kept going on my own. SP is the tops! Update, June 2008 - back again, kept the weight down nicely for a while, & then stopped smoking, & the weight shot up! So now I need to lose that stone again, without the evil weed to substitute for calories. But I can do it!

I will get my weight down to 125lbs by eating carefully & exercising. I will remain free of addiction, cos I just don't like the taste or the smell - honest I don't! (And I don't like chocolate or ice-cream either!)

I like low-carb, lost a lot of weight this way years ago, & am doing the same now. I enjoy training with dumbbells once I can make myself start! My work life is pretty active, so that helps me keep fit.

My name is Susanne, I am from Wales originally, but now live in Dominica, which is a tiny but gorgeous island in the West Indies. I was over 20 years in the Civil Service in the UK, now I am a chicken farmer, & loving it! I am married to a Dominican, & have one son, 22.

I love to read, novels, history, biographies - anything, really! We have no TV, & I haven't seen a film in years as our cinema only seems to get kung-fu movies. I like bathing, sea or river, photography, (I have a digital camera & print from my computer), & when I can get a whole day away from the chicks I like to walk in the islands wild places & find orchids to photograph.
