Thanks for thinking of me. It turns out we have two fires near us. We have Vacaville to the west and one to the east in Nevada county. With the heat it’s nasty out there.

We would make great film buddies then. I could have written your comment word for word. I got the P&P for my personal collection first; the one with Colin Firth, on video and then upgraded to DVD. After Alan Rickman died I bought every dvd movie I could get for the public library's collection. His comedy, Galaxy Quest, was one of the funniest movies I ever saw. A spoof on Star Trek.

P&P still is my favorite and I've read it dozens of times, getting different things from it at different stages in my life. DH and I are reading something different at the moment, a break from complex, compound sentences - but come fall we will pick it up and complete her collected works out loud.

LOL - then I'll probably go back and read Northanger Abby and Emma again on my own. rereading favorite books are like going to visit old friends

I know... long time!!! I hope you're all settled in, staying safe and healthy and enjoying life to the fullest!!

I miss our little chats but have been swamped trying to find the new normal, just like everyone else, lol and am stopping by to say Hello!!!!

I was going to rejoin the challenge, but then decided that there really was no place for me there any more. I tried getting the community leaders to add a team geared toward folks who are just a bit more challenged and explained that while casual travelers was pretty laid back, it didn't really didn't fit the bill for some people.

They didn't buy it and steered me toward Casual Travelers (which just goes to show how well some folks read things). Did't pursue it because I didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings, but just the thought of going back to the same old same old that's gone on for the last IDK how many challenges, made me overwhelmingly sad, I guess and I asked to be removed from the community and anything I had joined at that time.

    Maybe someday, LOL.

Again... Hope you're doing marvelously well under the circumstances!! emoticon

I so love that you know what it is like to sit on a hill in Tacoma and see Rainier! That view is home to me, as you probably well know by now!
