Introduction Text Hello I am Yolanda and reside in Washington State. I live in a wonderful rural area filled with birds and wildlife. I have recently retired, forced due to people perception of the ability of people with a wheelchair, and am not finding it an easy transition. It has been two years since I closed my business and after three months of doing nothing I began the process of becoming a nurse delegator. I now work part time using my nursing skills and am finding it very fulfilling. I have met some wonderful Sparkers that live life to the fullest oh please let some of that rub off on me.

Well weight has not flown off but my eating habits have made great improvements. My blood sugars are terrific right now. I now have a new bionic knee and it is wonderful. It works and is not hardly painful at all. It does require daily exercise so I have taken to the recumbant bike doing up to four or five miles a day. I want to work at improving both my upper and lower body strength this year. Thanks to a wonderful physician therapy team I now use a forearm crutch full time and have parked the wheelchair.
